The variator, rollers and/or sliders seem to be a MAJOR component in getting the most from the low-horsepower Chinese scoots. The Italian and Japanese 150's put out nearly 50% more hp than the typical Chinese motors. However, even our Chinese engines are nearly 1 hp per CID or more! Not all THAT bad!
After seeing my experimentation with 12 and 13 gram rollers, with 12 being WAY too light, and 13 being WAY too heavy, and a mix of both being good, Alleyoop recommended I try 13-gram Dr. Pulley SLIDERS. He always has good advice... So, I got the 13-gram sliders, and just have been too busy to try them. Got to get them in and see. Once I do, I'll have extensive test info for a post. After watching a video on Dr. Pulley sliders, I can really see the advantage the triangular slider has over the round roller.
We shall see... If the sliders make a big difference, I'll shout it to the world... Well, I'll POST it, anyway... LOL!
