Did this for a couple who's van decided to throw a connecting rod out the side of the engine. Drove them about thirty miles to a hotel were they could get a room and have the vehicle towed to a shop.

Yes I have been helped many times and I offer what ever assistance I can. I have changed many a flat tire for ladies or old people. I believe what goes around comes around. Jeff

I'm about 50/50... I've pulled over and helped someone about as many times as I've been blessed to have someone stop for me when I really am in need. I live on the edge and run out of gas a lot, nowadays I'm prepared for it but I used to not be. The first night I owned my Ninja 500 I didn't know/realize the previous owner left it on reverse fuel and ran bone dry, a guy stopped and came back 10 min later with a filled gas can for me at 4 45 AM

Yea, gotta agree with ya on that one. So, you're saying that no one ever helped you and you're not gonna help anyone else? No wonder this world is fvcked up No offense, just saying But, be it known, that if I saw YOU broke down, I WOULD stop and help I would stop and help if I could, but not every time. If I got time, if the person looks like they need help, or if it's a pretty lady, but then it's for other than scooter reasons. lol nah, I come from a place where everyone can get help enough, but realistically, unless it's a loose wire which can be tightened by hand, I don't think there's a lot I could do without tools anyway.

OK Checked your profile and see you're from the 'all about me' generation. But, u don't need tools or knowledge. Maybe a ride to a gas station, or safe location, or a fone call to a friend to cum pick em up. Just saying

Some have helped me, I have helped others. Makes good memories. ... Maybe a ride to a gas station, or safe location, or a fone call to a friend to cum pick em up. Have done the same. See guy side of the road, hood up, with a gas can. I give he a lift. I was pushing empty myself, if I hadn't stop to help he I could have been doing the same. As riding pass I see a female being hold by some guy, loop around back on the sidewalk, he took off before I could get there. "You okay?" "I'm fine." I go my way. Less than a minute out of my life. Lady on the side of the road, hood up, looking lost. Stop, hold up my cell phone, "Would you like to borrow this?" A few minutes and her husband is on his way, and so am I.

I wouldn't give a ride--Mom raised me not to pick up strangers. I would stop and offer my phone if they didn't seem to have one. But pretty much everyone I've passed is either already on his phone or has help there. I did stop to comfort the lady who came way-too-close to rolling her car down the interstate. I still don't know how she didn't. Nor how not one car hit any other while she spun and fishtailed multiple times. >'Kat

I love to help people whenever I can, no matter what the problem is. However, as I said before, It depends on time, city ,neighborhood,Etc.Nowadays you have to be very careful. If something don't look or feel right, chances are good it aint! And appearances are "out the window too" as More and more people are marking themselves up with tatoos! Used to be only sailors, marines, hardcore 's angels type bikers, convicts, gang members and tough guys. now it's dam near everybody! nice guys and gals too. so you have to use your own judgement. and be very careful.
