Pulled plug and checked deposits after 100 miles. Nice color, so carb is adjusted.

GY6 blues.... why does a scoot that ran so well last week, need a jump to start now. Valves? ........ No time to check now. Will happen after I finish moving.

Decided it was warm enough to remove the windshield today. Hoping we don't get any spring showers, but we usually don't get more than a sprinkle till the monsoon season hits. That windshield got me through one of the wettest winters we've had in the 20 years I've lived in Vegas (which means we actually got more than 10 days with at least some rain), and I was dry and warm the entire season! Now that it's warming up, I'm itching to get a performance head installed. That will be my final upgrade to this 50cc, looking to move up to a 150cc in the early summer, a flame painted Znen Phoenix.

I let the winter air out of my tires and replaced with summer air yesterday. Well at least spring air. It should work well enough.

I sorta worked on my scooter... sorta.... I actually did a valve adjustment on my old scooter that I traded for the busted down goldwing. He was having the usual problems... dyeing at lights etc. Runs like buttah now. Second valve adjustment I've done in two weeks on two different bikes.

I started my scooter and let him idle a while then revved him a bit. Went beautifully.
Now if only winter would finally GO AWAY! Mom heard we might get more snow still. CURSE YOU WINTER!!!

I replaced the bolts that hold the seat on. Yesterday I replaced the valve stem n the front tire without having to remove it from the trike ,took about 40 minutes . I checked the tires and added air. Then I took it out for a trial and am now trying to check to see if my tech is reading correctly .

Today I put 2.7 gallons of gas in the tank and took it for a 50 mile ride. That's it for the next week or two while winter takes another run at us.

Took off the seat cover (pain in the kiester) sewed in a new stress strip around all the existing China seams. It seems to have worked. the seat will most likely outlast most other peripheral parts. The GY6 is the only thing I trust on a 2008 TANK. Every other component is a hidden surprise. Put back the seat cover over the foam seat, stapled it down and took it for a ride. Even if I don't do a mechanical fix, I still take a ride..... If you don't know China scoots have no showing seams on the seat you will never notice the two new seams on the cover now. Saved $40. That is a lot of beer.

A small battery conditioner is a real money saver. These batteries are EXPENSIVE for such small things.
The 3 stage units seem to make your battery last longer. It is easy to hide the scooter side electrical connector (included with the battery conditioner) behind the inspection hatch.
Harbor Freight has some $7 units that will work, but come with simple battery clamps and no provision for a "plug in" installation like this one:
It came with a Cigarette lighter adaptor, and a batter clamp adaptor (not shown). It cost a little over $20
