Hi bigggroovy, It can be difficult to get a bunch of people that don't know each other to ride... Here's some suggestions, Pick a time, day, and location... Such as a Mcdonalds, The place needs to be pretty central, and easily gotten to by scooter.. Advertize it in Craigs List, or any other free publication, Also put it on your facebook page.. Make it a weekly thing, then start showing up.. The first few times I was there alone, but it builds over time... We would have bfast at Mcdonalds, then go out for a ride.. We had many a great times... Back then Fawkes was only a 72cc.. Here's a video of one of our meetings... Here's another |

I ride alone also,, But it would have been nice to have somebody with me two days ago when my new CDI took a crap 10 miles from home  |

Same here. No one to ride with. Just haven't met a scooterist around here that rides. And would be fun to ride with. I like riding alone too though I might be gettin' together with the Marietta Square riders as they get together at the square every Thurs at 7. But can't do it now due to the suspended license    It's been a while since the Marietta GASS club had a group ride. Once your suspension is over, why don't you suggest a day trip? I'll bet a bunch of people would join in. |

i got the same thing like ryaanlx but all of our scooters are at the campground I go to every weekend started with 4 now we got over 20 ppl with scooters all sizes and makes sat is usually at least a couple rides on the back country roads around 40 - 75 miles its great riding in a group because I used to run alone but now its great with a bunch of friends

I've ridden in large groups, small groups, and with one other bike (motorcycles), but I've only ridden alone on my scoot. I think it's like most folks have said...there just are not that many scooters around here! The ones I see all ride alone. I saw a large group of maxi-scooters in the local park one day before I bought mine, but I have no idea where they were from. There scoots are what got me interested in one. I don't mind riding alone. I'm an only child and after two failed marriages, I live alone, so I'm used to being by myself. I've tried to talk my best friend into getting one and he would love to have one, but he's afraid of his wife...and she forbids him to get one! LOL! Anyway, It's kind of nice to be able to ride at my own speed, go where I want, do what I want, and just enjoy the solitude of the ride! Oh yeah!

howdy i have a friend that had open heart surgury about a month ago. he's riding again but i like to stay close by in case he has a medical or scooter problem. either of us walking a long distance is a no-no. so as my dad used to say, these days all we get done is taking care of each other., referring to him and mom. anyway sometimes riding with someone can be a safety precaution for everyone and that's good.
