I got a 50mm BBK complte with head cylinder piston, Racing cdi, 19mm carb, free flow air filter, peformance coil, and peformance variator. When i use the 5 gram rollers it revs at 7600rpm and the 9 gram it revs at 6600rpm though the top speed it pretty much the same 39 mph same as it stock. I'm using an # jet and the stock exaust also. Why isnt the top end different? PLEASE HELP!!!!

but still i should gain SOMe top speed. Do I think the 5g are too light(stock and worn) and the 9g are too heavy. i'm gonna try a 6g with peformance belt and see if that helps. Also im gonna get a # jet with my free flow exaust.

I'd agree with Hank. Change gearing. It's imho the most plausible solution.

I went from a 63 to an 82 and had the same top end but take off and up hill were improved .
If you want a fast small scooter then get a 2T

unless you change the gearing you are only gonna get the same top speed like what was said before you can get to speed faster and hold it better with the BBK but you are turning the same rpms with the BBK as stock so the top speed will be the same

You'll know when you max out your gearing when the RPM's continue to rise with the speed, doesn't matter how heavy your rollers are. I can push my 50mm BBK Tao Tao pretty fast but the engine is screaming. I use a much larger MJ, I think mine's 92 or and I don't even have a particularly good exhaust or carb.

Jack the gears. build 2 spare engines. Expect engine service life 352 miles per engine. Take centerstand off and range will get to 372 miles b4 Boom. Bring Hand cleaner and some rags.

Hank is correct, put in taller gears now that you have the power to pull them and you will FLY FLY FLY Alleyoop

I'm sure everyone already said it but you need taller gears.

i decided i'm not going to worry about gears just acceleration and hill climb. I just ordered 6g rollers, bando peformance belt, and a 1.5k torque and clutch springs.

The torque spring requires heavier weights try your 9 gram weights with it

I remember doing a 61mm bbk on my 150 and gained no top end. It really was just the final drive gears. If you don't want to deal with that then you can't really do much...just, like you said, you get more hill and take off power. But if you haven't already get a slightly larger belt, it lets it travel a little further and can help. ¡¡!! If you have the travel room on the variator!! ¡¡
