Finally got my Heritage 150 from Superior Powersports. The box had a rip in the lower side, noted on invoice. Tiny bend on metal floor plating, also noted. But it wasn't until after drop off that we opened the box containing the storage compartment that we found 2 washers, 2 nuts, and 2 almost totally stripped bolts. As well as this rubber piece with metal rectangular rings on each end. Well I notice the seat wasn't attached, so I opened it up and sure enough the 2 rear bolts were sticking up with washers but no nuts, got this one. Then I find 2 holes in the forward area of the seat/storage area. So that explains the 2 bolts and 2 washers. Like I said bolts are stripped but was able to get them to grab to keep the seat on temporarily. Still don't know if the rubber thing is part of this whole seat mystery or part of the rear storage unit. Uploading a pic. The box where the bolts were was slightly open, as if some one wanted to include the hardware even if the bolts were messed up. Going to find couple of the correct size bolts and see if they will work, if not I may try re-tapping them to a slightly bigger size. Attachments:

That strap is a battery hold down strap. You will find some hooks on each side of the battery storage compartment. Alleyoop

Not to contradict alley who's way smarter than me scooter-wise, but that looks just like the helmet hanger that came with my bike. Something about some helmets are designed so they don't fit on the hook, so you use this strap thing instead.

Yup..battery hold down. Some of those Chinese made ones have been known to last upwards of 6 months before they dry rot. Talk about quality! ;D I have uncrated some messed up Scoots back when I sold them...but NOT with that many fastener issues as you mentioned.Wow..I would be contacting the company you got it from. That sux and sorry to hear about it.

Wag to scootn'.
And laughs to super!
And tears that they ship anything with that many pieces not attached like they should be.

If it is not a battery hold down strap. It may be used to remove the battery out of the battery compartment. Some batteries fit snug in the compartment and are hard to remove. Wrap this around the bottom and up the sides of the battery before you put it in the compartment. Now you can pull the battery up and out easily.

You have to fill the battery with electrolyte, charge it up and physically install it in the bike when the crate is first opened. At least they included the battery hold down strap. You may not have to worry about it for long as many don't survive the first year and rot away leaving just a gummy residue and the metal clips behind.
