what alley said. either way if oil is showing anywhere on the stick you are good to go. i check both my Taiwanese gy6 based scoots with the stick in as that is what my dealer said to do. with the stick screwed in it shows nearer full. with it screwed out it shows on the stick, but lower. either way you're good to go as long as not too overfull or under all is right

i use earbuds. i like to listen when i ride. i usually listen to the same things, which is interesting. i don't get tired of the songs because listening while riding is different then listening from a living room or even in a car. so my "background music" tends to come to the same things each time i go out. with an occasional curve. but for some reason when getting ready to ride i choose the very well played

so guys is things like Rotella T ok or what? i change oil around every 1200-1500 miles on both my scoots (one has a filter, one a screen) and both have 10,000+ miles on 'em and all seems a-ok. no burning or excessive consumption i don't want to need to change oil types if i don't have to

stuff like this is all you need for max protection tbh. it works great, is high value, and is.....OIL! imagine that? i swear by it, as do many others. some say its as good or better then anything. heck dudes they are 150cc / small cc engines, not jet burners. thats why i use heavy duty truck oil lol! i use no synth, ever

$100 sounds like a fortune for us drain / refill types. even with the air filter. the "inspection?" again if it needs nothing and is running good i like to keep that money for the dealer for things that are beyond my knowledge / time. but if an oil change is beyond YOUR skills, well, it may be worth it to you anyway is your drain plug easy to get to? and air filter? if so i would DIY and if you want to spend $100 on your scoot get something done specifically for $100 or so. a valve adjustment? new tire? how about a belt or rollers or brakes? something fun, something new? its your choice for instance i had a rear tire changed recently for $ , tire included. i would not do that job, and its far more work and much less frequent then a $100 oil change so far as "ok to ride" beforehand? idk you would have to be the judge but i don't think it would hurt. the oil is older but not well used, so i think its ok

Had to ride across town tonight. I should get a camera but am afraid the novelty would wear off unless i started a motovlog or something. I experimented with a CHEAP one last year but wasn't too enthused. Anyway as said had to ride across town and decided to go by Staples Center / L.A. LIVE as its nice at night. But oops, sold out Laker playoff game just getting out. No worries, though. I just scooted on by, splitting and filtering like a Boss
