Yes sir, it's a Battle of The Worst Vs The Worse. Or vice-versa These are the ones, these are the "big boys." Don't worry smaller dealers, if you do a Google search you know these guys and their affiliates come up first, so don't lose any sleep. These are the HUGE drop shippers which promise the moon and stars and deliver a scooter in a box at your door, just like most others. BUT, are their claims of customer service and satisfaction we read at the sites true? Find out right here in this thread! Have an experience with one of these sellers? Considering buying from one of them? Any good reason to buy or not? Recently purchased something? Let us know all about it right here as to inform others of these mighty sales titans of the chinese scoot!

Scooter Depot.. received mine in 5 days. Received appointment call as promised day before and was right on time. Received paperwork soon after. Had faulty starter and tech sent a replacement right away. I would buy from them again.

Superiorpowersports: Deliver the scoot as promised (usually in 5 business days, or one week), but it depends on how far you live away from their warehouse in California.
They do a good PDI, though usually forget to mount the hose clamps in the correct position, and always forget one or two smaller things (like exhaust bolts, or something like tightening a side peg nut.
Their customer service is sublimal, very polite and professional. Their technical support is less, still polite, though their responses differ from mechanic to mechanic (eg: which oil to put in the scoot, I got 3 different answers).
After the scoot arrives, and is mounted, and you tested it if it works satisfactionary, you can either call, or go on their website, and request the title to be sent to you. If you mount the scooter, the same day as when you received it, and call that same day, you usually will receive the title within 7 days.
The only con, is that Superiorpowersports promises it has replacement parts, but it doesn't. I requested on several occasions parts, and they never had even the most basic part.
Also, when a real problem arises, they sometimes don't call back to confirm if it was solved.
SuperiorPowersports generally has the lowest prices on the internet (occasionally other websites may have few the same prices, or a single unit with greater discount than SPS).
I have bought 3 scooters with them, and if I'm ever in need, or desire another, I'll definitely buy with them again!

Good reports so far. Horror stories used to abound, but maybe their has been improvement? I know superior used to give the impression they really, really try!
Or maybe those who order scoots on the 'net have just gotten wiser, too? I have not visited the sites lately but know 'depot used to go with the hard sell. Some less savvy buyers may have actually thought they were getting more and better then what they were paying for what with outrageous "retail" prices listed and giant banners screaming "WARRANTY."
Also, yeah. That promise of having parts? Um, hopefully for the short warranty period, at least. Otherwise you're on your own, I suppose.

Check any online dealer with the BBB www.bbb.org . I have read many horror stories from online buys as to why I bought my scooters from a local vendor so I could see and ride before buying . Some get damaged in shipping , so do a thorough PDI .

I bought from Scooter Depot. Received my reverse trike pre-assembled and they did the PDI. I bought mine in late March and it came when they said it would. The delivery truck called first and Said that they did not have a lift truck. I told them to bring it anyway because i know more movement with a trucking company means more potential damage. Truck came that day, we off loaded together, and no damage or scratches......perfect. Called them several days later and asked for the paper work and it came on the day she said it would. 10 out of 10 is my rating. They did everything they said they would , when they said they would. I love the product. For what it cost, i think its a great value and for that price I'm not looking for superior quality or customer service from a product made and shipped a half a world away. But.......Scooter Depot did a good job and i would buy from them again.

For parts Superior Powersports basically connects you to the manufacturer. Since they're a major BMS and TaoTao re-seller, they point you to the BMS and TaoTao parts sites; so it's not like you're completely alone.
For anything but body plastics (like belts, spark plug, carburetor, air filters, tires, ....), it's generally better to get those on the grey market (amazon, ebay, or specialized sales channel); because the manufacturer's websites are too expensive.

Superior did what they said they would and kept me informed on the progress of my order all the way through. Scoot arrived (un damaged) in a long box "Is this your scooter AND Your trailer?" and rolled it right up to the front door. As far as a warranty, as I have said before YOU ARE IT!

I notided that scooterdepot sells their own Znen scoots, instead of the ones from large US-based distributors like BMS & SSR. This should be a disadvantage when dealing with warranty.
However, superiorpowersports does carry BMS & SSR branded scoots. Has anybody had any experience dealing with Superior's warranty service on BMS & SSR (both Znen distributors)?
Otherwise, for me living in SoCal, I rather go straight to SSR or BMS front-door to buy a scoot. I know someone who bought directly from BMS, and SSR has told me about general scooter pricing over the phone.

I bought a 150 Znen from Scooter Depot, picked it up at their warehouse after they had done the PDI. Good choice. It has never needed anything except valve adjustment. We bought two quads from Superior and were very pleased with them. Bought a YY250T from Superior. Other than that they PROMISED me it would be a Roketa 54 B with a Linhai engine, when we got there to pick it up it was a Jonway YY250T which of course has the CFMoto engine. (That turned out to be a bad choice so now ride a Honda Reflex, MUCH more machine.

About SuperiorPowerSports: Just a brief update on my current level of satisfaction with my ongoing order with SuperiorPowerSports: I initially chose them for the obvious reason, they were the cheapest dealer offering the MC-54b style scooter I wanted. Reviews seemed to be mixed/favorable reporting fast service and shipping with the majority of problems being support after the sale. I was okay with this so I ordered my scooter and started waiting. I placed my order on 5/15/13 and my scooter has not yet shipped. It was in stock when I placed my order. There was (apparently) an issue with my payment, and by the time it was cleared, the scooter was no longer in stock. I have been waiting since then without a solid ETA. I have not been hounding them with requests for status updates, but on Monday, 6/17, I contacted them via email and requested a status update with an ETA and they have not yet responded. I'm rapidly getting discouraged with this order and am considering cancelling, getting a refund, and purchasing another scoot from another dealer. Superior now lists my scooter as a Pre-Order item with a shipping date of 6/30. I'm hoping they are able to ship mine promptly... Since placing my order, I've completed the MSF BRC and received my motorcycle license. I'm a licensed motorcycle rider with no bike.

Well, it's partly not their fault. Your payment didn't come through, and they sold their last scooter of that type before your payment was cleared. You'll most likely have to wait for the scoot to arrive from China. You could always look around for a better deal, see if perhaps you can add some money for a better scoot (since you need to wait anyway, and an additional pay check may help out to get you a better deal on a better scooter). They're slow on internet and mail replies. Best thing is to call their number directly from the site. I know, when I'm in FLorida time, they only pick up the phone between 10 and 11AM. So I try to call them around that time. In the afternoon they're closed, and in the morning (like 9AM) the waiting lines are too long.

[replyingto=builditright]builditright[/replyingto]Only 7 years, what's the hurry? *LOL*......On the serious side that is a horrendous story! Did you let the BBB know about this fiasco?

I have an order pending with Scooterdepot, my first motorcycle, and though it hasn't arrived yet, I will vouch against them 100%! It's been 6 weeks, the payment went through pretty fine, but the delivery should be shipped in 5 business days. I guess they ran out of stock, and have to ship it from China.
The product can't be any better than SP. With SP I only had a missing bolt, a few not 100% tightened nuts (usually 1 or 2), and hose clips not at the right place.
All things that the PDI should have covered.
But unless Scooterdepot delivers me a 'perfect' bike, it's 6 weeks (now going into week 7) waiting time is working in their disadvantage.
