The trouble with these Chinese scooters is one thing can break and it can mimic so many other things that could be wrong. You should be able to just fix something and be done with it but it does not go that way. Then you are riding along and ouit of no where something happens shuts down your scooter and then you cannot fix what happened to it.

I will have to check that on Tues because my scooter is at the shop not at my house. I just got the same 6 pole stator that was PFS had. There are no wires that go to ground on the stator. unless it is the green wire goes to a ground trough the wiring harness. Bill

John, Well I have checked it out and evidently I have another bad stator. I have no idea what the heck is wrong with this scooter.
They sent me a new stator and it is the same as the other one. Now I know what you all are going to say so I will cut you off ahead of time. lol Yes it is installed correctly. I just can't figure out why it is not putting out enough current for the lights. Now, if I try to run it like this it starts to run for a mile then stops, then starts up and runs but real short then stops and it will continue to do this I am not sure if it is not putting out enough current to fire the coil and CDI or what.
I have never had a scooter that I was ready to give up but this one has me ready to give up.If anyone has any ideas on this thing other then it is CHINESE lol I want to hear. Again I want to thank everyone for all your help.

John, I replaced the stator with a new one I have really dim headlights almost not on. I replaced the stator due to the scooter stopping on me and having no fire. Know I have fire but no lights. All grounds are tight did not change anything when I put the new stator in. Could the flywheel be bad? Bill

I am so glad to see that Nick is still in business. He helped me de-restrict a scooter back in 2007. He is a fantastic guy and always glad to help you. Nick, if you see this thanks again for the help on my UM-50 XSPEED You were a big help.

Alleyoop, these are the same cards that come through with the heads broke off so you have to drill the bowl screws out so you can clean the carb or change the jets in them.

Tim, I want everyone to know that you are one very fine mam. About 4almost 5 years ago I had made an order with a company who took my money. I have a small scooter business and shop here in Md. You took it on your own to send me the mirrors that the company had ripped me off as replacements. You did not know me from Adam but you still took it on your own to help me out. I have never forgot that and if you shipped scooters out to other states I would get one from you the next time I get ready to buy a new SYM. Our new laws in Md have destroyed the scooter industry here in our state.
Again Tim thank you again for helping out a starving little scooter business. I will never forget that act of kindness.

Well we do a lot of business with Partsforscooters and they are the real deal also. I met Matt at the dealer show last year and this company if really great on customer relations. Matt is always there if you need him to take care of a problem which there is none.

I have dealt with Heeters Performance center from time to time and they have been great folks to deal with. They go out of their way to help the customer.
