I just want to give a shout out to Tim at Carolina fun machines in Charlotte NC He carries Sym, Puma, Lance, Gorilla motor works and other top end Chinese scooters and he is a great guy to deal with. He just got the Genuine franchise also so look for those in the next couple weeks. I got my Puma Valentine 150 from Tim and it was a great buying experience. He even offers the first oil change for free. Thanks Tim!! Dave

I know you can get Sym service all the time, and they have a pretty large parts inventory.

Hi everyone, and thanks for the nice comments. We are looking at doing a number of things as we get close to our 5 year anniversary. The first is buying the building that we have been renting about 50% of so we can have some room to grow in the future. Two, we did become a dealer for Bintelli and yes Genuine has approached and approved to be their new dealer in the Charlotte area. I would appreciate all your thoughts and comments on this. When I look at the scooter marketplace I see three levels of product quality. You have the very low end throw away scooters that anyone can buy and sell that you see at low end scooter dealers, hardware stores, pawn shops, flea markets and used car dealers. Then there is the middle ground, which is where we have put a lot of our focus. And then there are the premium products. Depending on how many miles you plan to drive a years and the number of years you want to own your scooter theses products can end up being the best value out there to purchase. Tell me what you think about this and the Charlotte Scooter Market. I would love to find some like minded business people that would like to take what I am doing here in Matthews and open other Carolina Fun Machines in the North and South Carolina markets. That is why I named the business the way I did. Tim

Tim, Myrtle Beach is a massive market that needs a quality dealer. In 2012, our #1 dealer for the first part of the year was there until they lost their focus. If I were you, that would be where I'd set up shop next for sales and rentals.

Tim: There are several shops here in columbia, but they all cater to the cheaper scoots like TaoTao. There is one located near the university that sells a lot to the college kids. I know there is a market for the better scoots, but i'm not sure Columbia is big enough to support it. We had a Ducati/Vespa dealer a few years back that went belly up from lack of sales. I would love to be on staff as your mechanic if you decide to open in Columbia!!
