I Wanted to add one thing to this post,,its something I have been doing for years and none of my tabs or panels have broken or come loose yet,,i cut a small piece of old inner tube about 2" long then fold it in half,,I then poke a hole in the middle of it with a razor,,then I push the mounting bolt through the inner tube and insert it into the socket,,tighten it up just snug,,this method is awesome cause you don't have to crank down real tight on any of your panels,,the rubber acts as a vibration dampener and also keeps the bolt from backing out...try it you will love it,,so will your panels..you will have to replace the rubber if you remove the cover often,,but they hold up pretty well

Thats why the roller bearing need to be greased every 2k miles or so,,to prevent this,,the clutch will last a long time if you clean and grease that area once in a while.

fuel pump

It would work fine with just a fuel shut off valve like I posted I ran one for years with it and the bowl never ran low,,the pump on your scooter is just a vac operated petcock or shutoff valve anyway,,its not a pump,,the float needle will stop the fuel from flooding out the crankcase,,I have forgot to shut my valve off before many times and the needle valve always did its job,,but you cant always count on that needle valve,,i have seen them get stuck,,then the whole gallon of fuel gets dumped up through the intake down the jug into the crankcase or out the exhaust and onto the floor,,then you get hydro-locked and the scooter wont start or turn over,,you must change the oil and dump out all that gas at this time...but yes a fuel pump is far from a petcock or shutoff valve,,the low pressure pumps are great IMO like the Mikuni or the electric pumps that other guys on here run...that stock petcock should be tossed in the trash during PDI IMO...if not,,it will leave you on the side of the road one day cranking trying to get the bowl filled back up

Yeah,,Im surprised I didnt break any tabs yet,,especially when removing my CVT cover,,I have to bend one pretty good so the cover will clear....Im real anal about everything being perfect on my scooter..dont know why,,but it just seems more reliable that way.
I threw ya a T-bone for this one!

Welcome back bro,,yeah I learned some good nuggets from this guy,,dont forget to upload a video of the scooter at top speed,,Im gonna make a new thread here soon just for top speed runs and videos of them....I hope to hit at least 65GPS(70+chinameter) on mine,,would have done it today but weather was crap...possibly Monday...the closest long flat 55MPH straightaway from me is like 20 miles away...Ill let the GY6 cool for a few minutes before pulling the run off.

Well on my scooter I just removed the fuel pump from the frame and put the valve inline,,yes its gravity fed so it has to be on a downhill path from tank to carb...not sure how your fuel pump is set up there,,sounds like a 50cc is different from a 150?

One of the first things I did was remove the fuel pump and replace it with a petcock from Lowes,,after that I had no fuel delivery issues...then I moved up to a mikuni high volume fuel pump,,that thing will pump fuel 10ft up hill at low pressure. The stock pump is more like a valve petcock not a pump at all.

Could be as simple as a jet that came loose....or a A/F screw out of wack.Did you spray some starting fluid around the intake just to make sure its not cracked?

I wonder if its the same size needle as a stock 24mm? If so I got one you can have,,measure it up,,for float height usually about 20mm of fuel in the bowl is good..maybe somebody has an exact measurement...if not just pull the fuel line after the bowl is full and measure for about 20mm of fuel in the bowl give or take a mm

She asked me how big was my scooter, and I said its a small bike...."OK 50cc" ... I'm like.... Ok.. and even though someone may have a 50 cc scooter... What if you want to upgrade the engine to a 150cc? I thought she said 150 lol
