Always fun to watch your projects develop! What gears do you plan on using to attempt 60?

Even though I don't Scoot much these days I'm excited to read about this build. Just bought a 98 Honda CBR 900RR and have been on it 99% of the time. Since income is a lot better then last year I may use this thread as a blueprint for a scoot build in the future. Look forward to seeing your results Mr. 50cc Jedi Master.

Scooter is in my garage its about to begin Any way you can up the tire size ? If so that will help with that 60mph mark.

On the atm it's doubtful that I can up the tire size I got it because its lightweight.

When u say its lighter , what on the ATM makes it lighter then other 50cc scoots ? I'm not too familiar with most 50cc scoots. The only lighter scoots I've personally seen was the Honda spree . it was very small compared to many 50cc scoots.

Looks like many 50cc scoots weigh about 220 lbs compared to your ATM which says it weighs 140lbs. That's a pretty big difference ! . I believe that as long as the rider is not too heavy you may be able to reach the 60mph . I would do some measuring and see if you can install a taller tire on her . I along with many others have also noticed nice gains by using a bigger carb and opening up the airflow as much as possible. I would go with a 24mm carb and a nice size unifilter . as I'm sure you know the 24mm is the stock size for a 150cc , and I believe it will suit what you will be doing very well. Considering some of us believe the 24mm is actually a little small for these 150cc scoots, I would think a 26mm would be a better stock size for the 150cc , so the 24mm will work very well with the 52mm kit you will be using. Heck I use a 32mm and it works great with a 125 main . do I think everyone should use a 32mm , no , I probably could have got the same results with a 30mm and a different size jet , but it when it comes down to it many of us have had very good results with the bigger carb. Just remember to open that air flow passage as much as possible . from the uni through the head and out the exhaust.

Also , before u buy a new variator you may want to read rcq's thread on the el cheapo variator. We made some problems with the newer koso variators and the DLH variators. I know its a 150cc thread but you may want to read through it , it may save you from buying a cheap piece of crap.
