Any home center or hardware store will have 6mm nuts,,he could just double nut it with a flat washer and that would work fine in a pinch..at least you could ride until you got the right one.

That would be a sweet idea,,always nice to have more than a couple riding positions...now that Im getting a little older I get sore/stiff quicker..

Maybe his rings came out of clock when he installed the piston into the jug,,might have two end gaps over each other causing blow by...you did say it was smoking pretty good when cold in another thread if I remember correctly...that stinks!
If it where mine I would take it back apart and do some measuring on ring end gaps and resetting those rings so they are clocked 120 degrees off.

I been riding my whole life,,
Had my fair share of road rash,,picking rocks out of my skin for months and so on...
Started at 6yrs old and am 44 now...
Anyhow with all my experience I still am very careful on the road,,so many day dreaming cagers,,especially with all this cell phone technology crap they do while driving...my biggest fear is getting hammered(Tee-Boned) on a 35MPH street at an intersection...those never end good and are very hard to avoid...so be on the alert guys!!!!

Cool,, Its nice to know that a carb can be mounted like that and still perform well...looks like you made the intake out of a few different intakes and cut/put them together to your needs...great thinking/tinkering there for sure xyshannen.

A video of start-up walk around always helps too,,you can put a link on CL for that. Good pics of all angles including a lit up dash with odometer,,I hate when there is only one pic and its fuzzy..drives me too the next ad.

Here is how I would mourn if you want to call it that...
If stolen,, Track down the idiot that stole it and rip his------- ---- ---!!!! (fill in the blank's).
If crashed,,fix it...no scooter dies,,they are all repairable unless the frame is twisted into a pretzel shape...
If you cant fix things..
CL is loaded with used in good shape 150 GY6 scoots for $400-$600 so save your pennies and you will be on the road again in no time...

It will start with no oil,,there is no low oil shutoff switch on the GY6 as far as I know,,it wont run for long before it seizes up...one of the reasons we use assembly oil when building a motor is to avoid dry start up.The oil fills the tight tolerances in the motor it will act like a cushion and with no oil its metal to metal like mentioned above...
I have welded leaky gas tanks but you MUST fill them with water first to the TOP then drain,so all the fumes are out..then proceed to weld carefully...the metal is so thin even the lowest setting on welder will blow through if your not careful.

Nice,, I cant believe how good the ebay exhaust sounds on that! Also it fired right up for a cold start,,you need to strap your phone to it some how and do a hot lap..lol..sounds good!
BTW-My scoot is not as clean as that,,the video is over a year old but its just dusty now..I always put it up on the stand and spray the wheels, motor, and CVT area down with LA Awesome,,then brush it off and rinse,,it helps to degrease them a few times a year...then i just spray wax the covers and hit the rubber and plastic with a good silicone spray.

Oh yeah,,good idea with the rubber hose,,
And yeah Geh,,the scoops dont stick out into the open air far enough,,Im going to have to mod mine one of these days with some PVC. Atleast its gettin cooler air thats away from the header pipe a little bit...
Here is a video of mine stock 57mm with exhaust and uni...the camera was crap and has a noise gate that kicks in after I rev it but you get the idea..dont sound bad for a stock block does it?The open CVT's are a little noisy but who cares!

Yeah,, That would be great,,do it one part at a time that way we can see how much each part helps wake it up more.. I'm doing a BBK on my 150 hopefully by the end of this week,,i have another thread on it so will try to document my results to the best of my ability,,my scoot is stock block other than the mods you see in my sig,,pretty much all bolt on stuff so far and man did it make a huge difference! Cant imagine what the 60MM BBK is going to do now,,its going to be cool I know that much..lol The biggest gain I noticed was adding the free flow exhaust,UNI filter and up jetting to match the air/fuel mixture..man it was a huge difference from stock...the scoot would barely do 45 MPH,,maybe 50 if i had a tail wind,,now I cruise at 50 and have seen 65 near 70 with a tail wind..Im sure it will be 65-70 MPH with no tail wind after BBK,,I plan on doing a racing NCY clutch and bell,,then upgrading the variator to a smoother racing style. I like to cruise,,so if I can keep my RPM down below 7K Im happy,,the gears and heavy sliders(13g) really help me keep the R's down,,and with the BBK I hope to loaf along at 50 MPH effortlessly Take care bro! Tom

Wow,,yeah this one looks like it has 5,,two small oil rings that sandwich a separator(if you want to call it a ring)then two compression rings..just like my stock 57mm setup...so 4 rings and a separator.
