The frame tube is rust free. Suprisingly. I just cleaned out the drum brake and brushed all the gunk out. The tiny lever under the CVT that holds onto the wire near the back wheel will not come back out when I pull the lever still. It took me using a wrench and pulling the lever back out with enough force the scooter almost back wheeled up onto me. After pulling the lever out to the fully disengaged position the wheel was able to move freely without resistance from the brake. But as it stands I cannot use the back brake without it locking up on me when I use it... Is there something that tightens the lever? Not sure exactly how this brake works. When I replaced the shoes on my rear brakes I cleaned everything with carburator cleaner, that stuff gets most of the goo off of everything, DON'T use WD40 as it will make your brakes slippery. Carb cleaner is good,,you just have too watch it around plastic and paint,,I got a little over spray of that 2X2 stuff on my instument panel and now the clear plastic cover is damaged in a few spots. Also got some on my seat and it discolored and distorted the material. DONT GET IT IN YOUR EYES!!!!!!! dont ask me how I know

Yup,,you need a new brake light switch..I had to replace one on mine,,the factory ones where crap...also my rear brake was doing that,,it would stay on after I pulled it,,I took them apart and cleaned em all up with brake clean,,lightly greased the pivot points with some red grease,,then I lubed the cable..works like a dream now I agree with above comment,,that scooter wont last very long if you are riding it around in all that calcium chloride and salt......nope,,not at least without constant maintenance and repair.

Looks really nice,,now you can accent it with some gold or chrome plated parts...a little bit of Armour all is all you need to shine it up a bit if you want.

The only way too get full benefits from the BBK is to get more air in and more air out as well...free flow exhaust,up jet,UNI pod, bigger ports in head, intake, bigger valves, better springs, cam. That bigger bore needs more air and fuel brother...its not like a 150cc where you only gain a couple mm or cc,,the 50 BBK's are more of a change,,unless you are doing a 230cc on a 150.

Here we go all wrapped up nice and tidy,,I soaked the wrap in water for a bit too make it easier to form around the pipe,,also starting to wrap from the back to front,,that way my wraps are not against the wind, rain and junk...kinda like doing a roof. Efficiency my friends,,every little bit helps the motor run more efficient....its gonna look bad to the bone too.. Gonna burn it in tomorrow.Spring is getting close,,,yeah!!!!!

Break it in like your gonna ride it,,like jerry said,,just don't go WOT everywhere you go,,and don't go too slow either,,i would ride it between 4 and 6K with doing 6K just on bursts once in a while,,than after you dump the oil I would think a redline run wont hurt,,just don't keep it there too long..what did you say again Alley about 25-50 miles and the rings should be broke in,,I would think as fast as they spin along with the heat thats about right.

Yeah Geh,,dont you know you need to lube that front brake cable once in a while.....if not you could wear out your sidewalls Lol, the flux capacitor I installed Not only supplies the 1.21 gigawatts but it also keeps the front rotors from growing hooves . I have a mod for it all,,its not a bigger carb or any of that stuff,,you just need to hang a bigger piece of cheese in front of the mouse...

Taotao is as reliable as you make it and treat it.....its not a Honda its a Taotao..never had a problem with mine but minor things..I would not spend more than $250 on a non running scooter 150,,I see them all the time between $400-600 in running condition...for a 50 I would say no more than $150 if it needs work.
Like mentioned above,,brand new in crate to your door for $700....

Thanks for keeping us posted George,, I will pray even harder today for him,,sometimes things get worse before they get better.Im sorry you have to go through this man,,life has a way of kicking us in the tail every so often.
I pray your dad George Sr. will get the strength to pull through this,,and Gods will be on his life..amen
Remember what Jesus did for us at the Cross,,if we believe in that we will all be together forever in eternity,,all of us and our family,,there will be no more heartache, sickness, disease,or crying. He set the example for us,,and as long as we are sorry for the wrong we have done,,it doesn't matter how bad we where here on earth,,God's mercy and kindness will forgive us...and present us Justified because of the sacrifice of his Son. I don't mean to get religious on here but there is no other way,,i have searched far and wide,,the only way is Jesus and the cross. The promise is we will all be together forever and that my friend is awesomeness!!
If your dad doesn't know Jesus,,tell him that Jesus loves him,,and can forgive and heal him,,all he has to do is ask.The thief that was nailed to the cross along side Jesus is in paradise today,,he never went to church or did any religious works,,he just believed that Jesus was who he claimed to be,,its as easy as that.
You might know this stuff already but I just wanted to share my faith with you guys during this tough time for George. There is no peace in life unless it comes from above...

No, guys --- CLEARLY he just has a 32 mm carburetor in that puppy !!!!!! Actually it was probably because it was evening and a couple degrees cooler. ,lol. I can hit 80 down a massive hill by the Walmart !!! Lol I did 70 on my scoot before the BBK,,it was down a small hill..man it was screamin..lol..also it started to get a little squirrely at that speed.

Check this one out guys,,87 MPH..hold on!!!!!!! Prolly one of those $2500 blocks...sounds like he keeps the same RPM from the hole all the way to the finish line..lol Nice! What is that grating sound it's making? My guess would be the clutch and bell but who knows...something in the CVT.
