It's not that kenda is a bad tire, they've been around since 1962. more recently, they sold 50% to cooper tire. They are better quality than the run-of-the mill chinese tires, but they are still chinese tires ,and probably cost $2.50 to make. For the difference in price,I would go for the "name brand" race engineered tire. I just think guys like dunlop, pirelli bridgestone michelin ....put more research into their tires, and produce a top shelf product.I'd rather spend my money with a company that does R&D, than a company just out to exploit a cheap labor market.I know the scoot is chinese, but when i make improvements, I want good ones.If I had the choice, I'd buy Made IN America all the way.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, in today's society, with little or no Moral standards left, (and decreasing by the minute), There is no such thing as a "good side of town" anymore. Everyone is vulnerable to theft, attack or worse. Unless you live in a Gated community, you're fair game to these sub human lowlifes! The material things are nothing compaired to the emotional scarring these bas-----. inflict.

I just took off two brand new stock chinese tires, and put on two Michelin city grips. I noticed an immediate improvement in handling. They are a bit pricey, but to me, it's worth every penney.Anyone who plans on mods, should START with the tires and brakes. That is more important than all the power you can bolt on. without good control of it, what's the point?

Here's the way I look at it: Good tires are just about THE MOST IMPORTANT part of any vehicle. This is where all the power is controlled. If they are inferior, or don't do their job properly, You have no control. Tires are not the place to scrimp and save. What is your mobility worth? how muuch are tires for a wheelchair?I would get the best i could afford if I were you. Would you ride with a cloth helmet?

Magneto- or stator as some call it. You will need a special puller to remove the flywheel. Check all wiring and plugs before you do though

I used to use a backpack all the time on my old scooter. I would tie the straps around the luggage rack. It worked out very well for me. The new scooter came with a large trunk and I gotta say ,a trunk is waaaay better not to mention easier than any backpack ever invented ;DBesides that, I installed led running, brake, and directional lights on it so it's safer too

[replyingto=redroush00]redroush00[/replyingto]you must drill & tap the hole oversized in order to thread in a helicoil or permacoil or any thread repair kit. Usually the tap and installation tool is included with the kit. In most cases, they work out really well.

I really feel that this forum is not the place for personal grudge matches. Yes, disagreements pertaining to technical matters, even if it gets a little heated are ok. When it becomes a personal matter though, It should be handled privately between the parties involved and no one else. IMO
