[replyingto=larry001964]larry001964[/replyingto]Yeah, as you already know, i'm not quite after the level of performance that you are,I just want ample power without wot.all the time. And I also want to keep the stock airbox. Maybe I'll have to drill some extra holes or something.I do also need to do something about the variator Though . or at least i think so.

sweet! I think I'll always have a place for my little scooter but I do want to get a "REAL" bike someday. I don't want to spend any more than about $2500 so a 650 or a 500 sounds right up my alley. I really want to get one so I can venture up to the North GA mountains and do some motorcycling there... hit the twisties, take some pictures... do some motorcycle camping maybe? ahh the great outdoors HEY a scooter is a real bike.... only less powerful ;D This bike was for sale somewhere and I kept a picture cause it epitomizes exactly what I want. random pics:

[replyingto=larry001964]larry001964[/replyingto]Wow! glad to hear it. Did you get the hoca transmission kit from scrappydog too? If you had that much success with your biuld,I'll probably do the same to mine, I was going to keep the new motor for my baja, but maybe I'll build it,put it in the jonway, and put the jonway motor in the baja, havent decided yet. I'd like to keep the jonway motor intact. Just in case, though decisions decisions....

I too find that impossible, as the detonation will occur with the exhaust valve open 4 stroke = I.C.P.E. I= intake- piston on down stroke Intake valve open. C=compression-piston on up stroke- valves closed. P=power-detonation pushes piston down E=exhaust- Piston on upstroke-exhaust valve open. Even with the cdi firing on every revolution, It should not run.

You know what? I didn't like the idea of synthetic in the first place, because of previous experiences with it. My dealer chucked me a bottle of oil,and I didnt see it was synthetic till I got home.I started this thread to get an opinion, and boy did I Anyway, I threw caution to the wind, and put it in anyway. Here is my conclusion: I am taking it out, and sticking with the Old-school, Tried and true hydrocarbon based OIL.It has served me well for many years in many vehicles, I'm sticking with it as long as it's available. ;D

Yeah, I think changing oil every 500 miles is a bit OCD.

that's what i'm saying, pointing up looking directly at the rear, or the front of the bike riight? I think he said otherwise which would be incorrect.
