I added a set of fog lights to my scooter the other day, and for some reason after I put it all back together and started it up, when I stopped to park and turned the key the electrical shut off but not the engine.
Under my font cover there used to be a dummy plug (its the place an alarm plugs in) and it had a 1 wire connector on it. Needless to say that connector is gone, I need to know what two wires I need to jump so my engine will shut off? I tried plug and play but ended up blowing 3 fuses so I stopped.
I don't know how the connecter went missing but I remember it being there when I replaced the headlights last week.

I will definitely be opening it up soon. I just have to get access to an impact wrench to get the cvt off and measure the weights. Is there another way to get the CVT loose? I know you can take it off with hand tools there has to be a trick to it I have just never figured it out.
I know when I purchased this bike I was surprised when I rode 15 miles and the fuel gauge was between full and half, I even took it back to the dealer I got it from and he tried to tell me it was normal break-in fuel milage. I said yea for a monster truck maybe!

I purchased a new GY6 150 scooter, its a handsome boy style with the 2 front headlights. I have about 415 miles on it now (well according to the odometer which is never right) and for some weird reason I have only been getting about 50 miles out of an entire tank of fuel. I have done no modifications to it. I weigh around 250lbs and I ride mostly on flat roads with small hills. My top speed is only about 49mph at WOT (according to GPS not speedo) and according to the RPMs its 8k. I do not have a windshield or a trunk on the back of it and I only carry my gloves under my seat. I have checked the air pressure both tires are around 32 psi and I am not leaking fuel at all, I also checked the oil to see if the fuel was somehow ending up in the crankcase but its not.
And for those wondering, yes I have already changed out the junk oil and gearbox lube that comes from the factory, I have owned scooters 49cc and 150s since I was 13 and this one by far is the biggest fuel hog I have ever seen.
The only thing I can think of is the front CVT or the clutch is not working properly or when it was assembled at the factory they put to light of rollers in it causing the RPMs to stay to high at WOT.
Any Suggestions?

On my 97 elite ch80 I am needing the wire bracket that holds the piece that turns the seat latch. Does anyone know were I can get one without having to buy the entire seat latch assembly?
I don't need the piece that turns the seat latch just the wire bracket that holds the piece that turns the latch.

And thank you "spandi" for helping me find the part I needed. I can't count how many times that this discussion forum has saved me in the past, back when it was still ScootDawg even. Its too bad that there aren't more people out there that use these groups, some people would just rather take the lazy route and pay a shop some ridiculous hourly rate to do something that a 7 year old could do

I finally got my part in and I tackled fixing my scoot this morning before the sun was even up. Below is how I did it in case anyone out there is in my situation and wants to do it themselves instead of paying a shop for 2.5 hours of labor. (It really isn't as hard to do as you would think) 1. get an old Taiwan 10mm open end wrench, cut it off so it's about 3.5 to 4 inches long. (The shorter the better as long as you can still grip it) 2. Take off all three body panels. 3. Remove the obvious fuel line and air lines from the carburetor 4. Unbolt the rear fender and move it so that it rests on the back tire 5. Remove the outer nut from the engine side of the intake tube. 6. Now use the 10mm wrench you made to work the inside nut off. 7. Last thing is remove the carburetor from the intake tube. Then re-assemble. If you want to take extra time and create more work for yourself you can remove the rear wheel and muffler. I figured for the price of a .99 cent China wrench I would take the easier route. If you have issues finding the part as I did, here it is: www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/honda/HP-17110-GE1-832.htmlIf you do not want to order direct from Partzilla's website, they have an eBay store also. Just copy and paste the part number into the eBay search bar, this is the only way you can find it because they do not have it listed under "Honda Elite CH80" I apologize if there are grammatical errors, I typed all this after a 14 hour day of work plus fixing my scoot before I even went to work at 4:30am.

For some reason when I ordered the correct part in the pictures online it shows the intake tube bolted to the head and clamped on the carb. That is some type of error because all of the elite ch80s are bolted to the head and the carb. In order to get to either inside nut to unloosen the back wheel has to come off. Well unless you have a 3 inch long open end wrench then you would have enough room to take it off at the head first. And Sockets are to fat and won't fit between the nut and the intake tube. Sounds a lot like my Honda NB50, the inner carb mount bolt was designed by Satan.. I had a 8mm wrench that I could get maybe a 1/4 turn on, then flip the wrench over, another 1/4 turn. This scooter also had a similar hit a bump cut out for just a second. Only on really stout bumps though. I'm sure it was an ignition issue, it just wasn't that bad so I never resolved it. Same issue here, if I hit a manhole cover it would cut out. And the nut on the inside on the engine side on my ch80 was also created by Satan.

I used to have an orange coil on it along with a high performance cdi but after a week the coil went bad and I swapped it all back out to the stock parts

The trouble is you can't even get a wrench to the nut on the inside of the intake or carb. From the looks of it the muffler and wheel have to be removed to get to the inside nut on either the carb or at the engine. And I haven't been able to find anything on YouTube or doing a Google search.
Someone made a video how to change the spark plug...lol this one is the easiest I've ever seen to change

That page has nothing to do with the part I need. I need the intake tube. That's the part that goes from the carb to the engine.
And I didn't even know that a plastic welding tool was available. I was gonna take it off and gorilla glue it lol

Now all I need to do is find the part. Every website I have looked at says the part was discontinued. I found one on eBay but the seller doesn't know what kind of condition it's in.
Does anyone know of a salvage yard in the US?
