RPM Band ?

power band is around 7200 to 7500 i tell the people that i service their bikes never more than 8500 rpms and thats lil high i would say 8000 for long rides would be max id run mine. any thing more is only gonna shorten the life of your motor. also remember if your bike has a tach it is a good chance its off one way or the other i check them against a tiny tach to see if they off and if so by how much and let my people know.

here is what i have done so far adjusted valves 3 new stock carbs, all new vaccume lines.new fuel filter spray carb cleaner all around carb and intake to see if motor picked up from intake leak,removed muffler to make sure it wasnt stopped up, new spark plug. removed air filter from back of carb but it still floods out (black smoke) at idle and shuts off. if you hold it bout 1/2 way open it runs fine let off it floods out. the compression is 155 psi. any help would be great. just a stock 50cc kymco gility

if thats the case rocky why not just bypass the fuel flow valve and see if that fixes the problem. if it does just put a shut off on fuel line turn it off when bike is not in use. i have bypassed it on 2 of my bikes and they did run much better at high speeds without fuel flow valve. well the tank must be higher than the carb if it a pump that wont work.

you think it possible the cdi can be breaking down at higher rpms you know going bad i have seen them do some crazy things when they go bad.

what jet and air filter u running now. i have found a 112 and free flow works rt good on all 3 of my 150s i tried a 115 and it was lil too much even though the plug looked good and it run good i got more top end out of the 112 and plug still looked good golden brown

I would try 13gram sliders a mix of 12 and 13 would probly work pretty good i have run that mix in my 150 and it did pretty good but my rpms was lil high so i ended up with a 13 and 15 mix keep in mind im running a over size variator. by the way is a great upgrade i gained over 5 mph in that change alone. once i got the weight rt in that variator i ended up with 10mph more than i had. they like heavy weights from what i have seen on all the bikes i have installed them on. hope all this helps

most anytime i seen under a 100 psi they wont start. rebuild and start rt up. most of the 50cc i work on that will run have about 120 to 150 psi.

all i run is sliders they always show improvment in anything i put them in. from my dealer they only cost me 20 bucks so why not rt.

I have a 150 auto moto 3 wheeler that i have done no upgrades to and it will run 55 as big as it is with no mods at all. I thought the speeds im seeing with my 2 bikes where the norm with all the upgrades. on my bikes the cvt work done more good than anything. and at top speed on small body of 68 im showing 8300 rpm with tiny tach on big body at top speed of 75 im showing 8500 rpm want to get both bikes down to 8000 at top speed so i probly do 15 and 16 gram mix on big bike where i have all 15 gram in it now

thats it the mods i listed and i weight 180 lbs. just 2 reg china scooters one is small body vip the other is a big body off brand with a vip motor on it that i built. and the speeds has been tested with gps. i went from south boston va to greensboro nc on the highway with the big body and run 65 and 70 mph with cars 82 miles each way.

you do plug checks at what ever speed you think you have a problem. idle and plug check. run wot for 1/2 mile hit kill switch while holding wot then do plug check if golden brown on both you good to go unless you have a spot in there somewhere that dont run right

run a good fuel line carb cleaner about once a month and only bout 1 oz to a full tank it helps keep gum out carb.

the booster will burn up rings and piston if used too much. i just use good grade gas and let it ride. i blowed one up with booster one time run like crazy for lil while but then blowed hole in piston.
