Well done Alley. This is like the 10th time you have done this over the last 4 years and spot on every time. Good info that people need because a well tuned carb is 30%-50% of a good running scoot and should be done when the weather and or altitude changes. Along with the carb tune a shot of seafoam in the tank helps... my 2009 jomway still has the stock carb on it and i have never needed to clean it.

Dom i had the same kinda problem and a good cleaning did help a bit but i found it was the connet on the box that hook's up to the older T.V. i had that was more of a problem. I sprayed some (just a little) good old WD40 into the slider of that box and worked the slider a few times back and forth. Never had any real problems with the same box that came with my commodore 64 thou. Just what i did a longgggg---> time ago. Is this what you have? if not my bad.

Might just buy a new engine Give the look's of this engine what rob suggested might be your best bet at this point. But if you like to tinker, and we all like to tinker a bit form time to time, just replace everything inside the case. Something went south-- heck all the way south to Hawaii and not by row boat. I wouldn't trust anything inside that case. My .02

Hey gitsum he has a 2009, he might be lucky in that the A/F mix is not one that's sealed off. My jonway is a 2009 and only had a cap on the A/F and came off with no problems.
Hope yours was like mine Dom.

A shorter cvt variator spacer will give you a better top in, but remember you have a belt that needs to be checked, the angle and type can make a difference. The smaller (shorter the spacer) the smaller variator with and giving you a bit more room for other adjustments. (a.k.a sliders...) Welcome to world of "De-Restrict" Buy a better CVT belt (or new girlfriend) if you need to, Gates/Brando are the best-- you'r game.

Good attitude to have even if your choice of friends might not be... I meant friend. All the cop was trying to do is look out for the safety of the rider and others. Good that you got all the stuff needed to fix the lights. You done good, your friend? well $125 for a smart mouth.......

Yes, a propane torch should be enough. If you have access to a welder you can weld a nut to the stud then just wrench it out. This would be your best bet. Can you find a welder anywhere at all?
