What is the going price for that ride? And yes WB6 is right the Tom's are well made, part's are hard to come by, and if i remember a bit pricy. But who am i.. and my 2012-13 Zuma 4t ($dream time$) going for well over $2200 +.
I like this kinda setup, has that cafe look,a bit of moped EMS help (peddle it home) and last but not least working on it could be done blindfolded.

Also, do you still have both (one on top and one on the bottom) dowel pins? (alignment pins) They help center up the CVT cover and if missing you could have it on nice and tight but not where it needs to be to center up the Bendix gear. Lightly lube up the BG and test the BG spring to see how it works just to be on the safe side if you haven't already.

Now this was in response to a CDI i bought from John P. @ www.testedscooterparts.com/After 2 day's of testing this CDI, (I ordered the AC CDI that is on Most common on our small GY6 50 4T (4 Stroke Engine's)) I was impressed given i have had many CDI's that clam, what i think is only for a select few. I would recommend this CDI to anyone that want's what is best for there ride. Larry ====================================================== This is the P.M i sent to John after i installed and tested. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well John I haven't even had to touch the idle at all even with the en-richer open. With this CDI idle is smack dab on the money cold or hot start up. I can tell the start up was better and didnt kick back the Bendix starter clutch and i like that. I also noticed the idle is much smother then before.I can set my glasses on the seat and they stay put. The ride into work was outstanding in terms of performance and when i let off the throttle i do not get that small rumble that is due to unburnt fuel igniting in a hot exhaust that is typical with a well tuned gy6 50 running a bit on the rich side, but not to be confused with a back fire if that make sense as there is, a fine line between the two. I think this CDI is worth it's weight in Gold (kinda looks gold as well) lol and i was really hesitant to buy it at the price due to the fact that the CDI i had in it did a good job just not as good as this one does overall. When i first seen it i thought "oh-no it's DC" due to it's side and a quick Google search lead me to believe it just might be, as this CDI sells to the speed demon 2T guy's that want to "UP" the competition, but as i dug a bit deeper i seen it does come in AC, just not as common as the DC but the pin out did look correct and you said it was an AC CDI on millsc's thread, so i took you and AL's word on that. I think millsc should buy one if he hasn't already If it works as well for me on my stock jonway 4T 50, he's going to be a happy camper. If i need any help I'll call you, but beware % of the time i have a question It more then likely requires 2 or 3 thinking cap's. Thanks John your one of the few small business guy's out there i would trust. (and i don't trust no one now a day's) Larry -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just out of curiosity, somewhere in CA is a gigantic warehouse that houses every scooter that is sold by each online dealer. They must all house them in the same spot? And all this time we thought they housed them in China.. Someplace. Nice looking ride.

Out of the 3 scoots i've had the 2009 jonway 50 i payed almost $1,000 for has been the best so far. You get what you pay for if you shop smart.

And it's made in China aswell millsc, so it should work. Look's like you had a dead cell in the old battery-- had that happen to me untell i had it bench tested. It was a 4ampHr batt, so i upgraded to ES9BS from wally world. I still want to know if the CDI John has will do any good for a STOCK 50.

I am young enough to not be retired but too old for most everything else. That make's you an official form member now. Go tend a garden like most of us. I got a good batch of cucumbers this year. Too bad we can't find the 'hidden valley' Ranch dressing Farm.

John,ally,
I wounder if this CDI (the AC unit john has) would work well with just a stock 50-QMB? I myself have tried the orange Performance cdi and it worked, but simply killed my mid-top end Performance. Have you tried it with a 139qmb-50 that was stock?

Funny how both the Henkel and Vespa were from ex bomber manufacturers. good one Spandi. Got to get it right the first time, every time. Kind of wondered what they used all the left over manufacturing equipment for.

Just as long as your engine case is aluminum it will work fine, but when your case is metal, you might actually magnetize the case, and then the flakes will remain in the engine compartment, which could be very bad! Well prodigit, that's why i went with the drain plug i posted on. I'df like to know if this set-up is just a refrig/washer magnet. for around $10. i have to ask.

I was going to suggest the ones on ebay, but the Prima kit has three parts (including a magnetic plug for the gearbox) and would give increased coverage over the drain plug alone. (hope they come out with more) Are the crank and gear plugs magnetic?
