Hi Everyone, My bendix keeps falling out of place on the starter side. Just enough to lose touch with the starter. It starts fine the first time, but after riding, it vibrates out of place. I have the bushings on both sides(*cvt & casing side), they are NOT missing. Do they have a different length or size bendix, for the 139qmb. If they do I haven't seen them. Input and ideas to remedy this, would be greatly appreciated...MAHALO & ALOHA

Only thing I can think of is maybe you don't have the CVT on right. First I have ever heard this happening. Alleyoop

me too. Maybe the hole (or housing in the cvt cover) is broken or cracked?

me too. Maybe the hole (or housing in the cvt cover) is broken or cracked? It's a new cover got both bushings there, they seem to be in good shape.

You either do not have the cvt cover all the way in OR the BENDIX shaft is NOT in the hole in the CVT COVER. Many have done this and the BENDIX shaft then is either to one side or above or below the hole in the CVT cover. I would drill a small hole in the center of the CVT cover where the BENDIX shaft goes into then paint the end of the bendix shaft white and when you put the cvt cover back in you will be assured the shaft is in the hold seeing the white through the drilled hole. My .02 for what its worth ;DAlleyoop

Also, do you still have both (one on top and one on the bottom) dowel pins? (alignment pins) They help center up the CVT cover and if missing you could have it on nice and tight but not where it needs to be to center up the Bendix gear. Lightly lube up the BG and test the BG spring to see how it works just to be on the safe side if you haven't already.

Replace the bendix. Everything is worn to the point its not returning. Specifically the return spring and the cap that stops at that retaining clip. It only looks like its falling out when you pull the cover with its nice new snug bushing away from the engines' warm, worn one.
