I knew it wouldn't be long before somebody brought up Insurance. My hand is not in your wallet. The insurance company's are. Insurance is one of the biggest scams in history. Why do you think they are some of the richest company's? I'm not even going to get into government regulations and laws. Just because I don't use all the gear don't mean I ride irresponsibly. I do wear a helmet, eye protection gloves and boots when I ride and I have never had an accident, because I also ride very defensive.

On this Facebook page (I actually would like to use them in an effort to push protective gear): www.facebook.com/goscootThe world is full of nanny's trying to make other people safe. Why don't people just worry about their safety and let the rest of the people worry about theirs? Roy

Terrilee is right, it is not good to run with a broken stud. It can burn the exhaust valve pretty quick. My exhaust broke about 3 inches from the flange. I was about 5 miles from home. By the time i got it home it was already damaged.

This is how I mounted the speed sensor. Notice the rotor bolt has a magnet inserted into the head. I used 3 one in each bolt. The bracket has a small set screw in it for adjusting the gap and to secure the sensor. Roy

It is a magnetic pick up. It comes with magnets that fit into the head of the brake rotor bolts. You can use 1,3,,6 ect. You can also purchase different bolts for more options. Mounting the sensor was easy The come with 2 different brackets. I used one of the caliper mounting bolts to mount the bracket. I will post a photo of the sensor later.

I was going to get one of those, but I did a lot of research and found that several people said they had problems with everything from breaking to not fitting right bad bearings ect. So I went with the hoca crank. But then others have had no problems. I would rather pay more for better quality rather than say o-well it was cheaper. If it breaks, is it really cheaper?

It has been a couple of years. I got the dyno from enviromoto, I don't know if he still sells them. But if I remember right I got the sensors from koso.com, they come in packs of 5 for about $20.

Man, I would love to ride maggi to Colorado Springs ( I grew up there) and cruise the garden of gods and pikes peak highway. I have been to the summit many times and used to do the march of dimes walk-a-thon through the garden of the gods when I was in school. I have also climbed to the top of the kissing camels.

I purchased a spark plug ring temp sensor and use the water temp gauge for head temp since the 50cc don't use water cooling. I don't use the oil temp sensor because I didn't want to drill and tap the thin case. But when I do the rebuild with a stroker crank I will.

I have a KOSO RS DYNO mounted on my 50cc. It has speed, tach, fuel, water tem, oil temp, and various other functions. It is also back lit so can be seen at night. I thought I had photos, but can't find them.

Davec, sorry to hear about your accident. Congrats on your purchase. Trikes are great for those of us that can't "do two" anymore and still want to have the wind in our face. Trikes steer different than a two wheeler and will take a little getting used to. You must slow down more for a corner, they turn wider, and you have to remember they are wider at the rear. These larger trikes do have some power and if you use reverse don't give it to much throttle. Also thank you for your service to our country.

If you drill any holes in the spout between the filter and carb. you will be letting unfiltered air into the carb. and engine. Also if you drill hole into the air box you will probably have to up jet the carb. to make up for more air into the engine, or it will run lean.
