A year ago I got a 2007 sega(valano) scooter. I got it with 1400miles and now has 4400. I've had no problems with it except for new clutch rollers I just installed.

Hey guys, Ever since I joined this website you've been help and i'd just like some tips. The guy that helping with this is a MASTER mechanic in my eyes lol He's worked on everything from lawnmowers to cars. I've learned that the scooters are very similar to snowmobiles also. Single driven and belt run pretty much same set up of clutches and whatnot. So I know everything about engines except for scooter engines. I know about timing and everything, how an engine works, but was wondering if theres anything unique about scooter engines I should look out for.
thanks sean

My BZ139qmb had ALOT of restrictors. ! in the variator clutch, 1 in the airbox, 2 on the carburetor plus the limited rev cdi. once I got all that stuff off I went from a 32 mph on gps to a 39mph gps

My scooter always said on the analog tac it was going 43mph on flat surface. A lot of people are saying that there scooters stock would only go 30-35mph max stock. So I decided to use my gps and go for a ride. Again, I never went down any hills just straight road and hit 39.7mph. So my question is, how fast would it go with a 100cc BBK and all the bells and wistles?
Thanks sean

My scooter will run at about 8200rpms on a good day and that's at about 35mph.

Unless you put a bigger jet size in it, it can lean up the engine and burn it down.
