I've been an amatuer meteorologist for a long time and I've never seen a radar return like this before, debris field over 2 miles wide... absolute devastation. My heart is just broken for the poor people who lost their lives and those left in the wake of this disaster.

As if manufacturing just about every other consumer product in your home wasn't enough, now they're strategy is to penetrate your private lives via your driveway. Those nifty spyware engineers. Actually I guess "malware" was what I was thinking of. Dude a new belt for a Chinese scooter costs like $12. If you are going to throw away a scooter because of that, maybe you are the spyware.

it's attached to the front fork, like underneath the headlight area. You have to remove the front body panel that is black / unpainted. The silver box with fins on it is the voltage regulator, don't mess with that, the turn signal relay is a little black cylinder with 3 wires.

So he's *trying* to liken a Chinese scooter that has inherent problems after purchase to a piece of software that advertises/appears to be one thing, but ends up having malicious intent on your computer ("spyware"). It's not a very sound metaphor but that's what he's trying to convey. For the sake of argument I would say that no one is claiming a Chinese scooter is perfect or near the quality of one that costs 5x as much. You get what you pay for. Now if you paid $4000 for a Tao Tao with Honda badges on it, that could be "spyware" ;D

You have to put the URL inside the (img) tags (img)http://s1294.photobucket.com(/img) Just use brackets [] instead of parenthesis () But as you can see that doesn't appear to be a valid image URL.

For a 4 stroke I wouldn't hesitate but since 2T is burning it, it might be a different story. I would say you'll be safe if you wait till the current oil gets pretty low (but not completely out!) and fill it up with the mineral oil. That's just my opinion, I'm sure others will have different insight.

I'm just learning about 2T oil myself but I would just mix/add it in. I do know that if it runs too low/dry it could damage the pump or at the very least get air into it and you would have to bleed it before it would operate correctly.

Wow, I'm kind of impressed you found such detailed info on it already. This is really interesting. I'll still be following your journey with this bike pretty closely, I actually have a friend who is looking to get his first bike or scooter soon. We've been looking in the 100-150cc class and this might just be perfect because I believe he eventually plans to get a larger motorcycle.

I was really anxious on my motorcycle for a while after my accident. But there are definitely changes in habits you can form that will make you safer without even knowing you are doing it. Now I ride my scooter in complete confidence that no matter what the road (or drivers) throw at me, I'm completely up to it.
It's hard to describe what exactly those changes are, just little things. I take routes that minimize left turns, some roads just feel safer than others, I try to watch other drivers head/eye movements, etc etc
