DUDE! You don't know what VGA is and you want to take the laptop apart...?!?!?!! Uhhh.... ambition is always nice, I guess... ;D
Just about any and every computer monitor is compatible with the port that you describe. 99% of the old CRT / "tube" monitors will have a cable with that connection exclusively (if you can find a CRT that still works). They stopped manufacturing CRT's at least 5 years ago as far as I know but they're pretty reliable.
The vast majority of LCD / flat panel displays I have seen still have a VGA port too though, especially older ones. You'll need a cable to connect the two together though, this cable is usually marked with a blue connector. A few TV's have VGA too, but usually only older projection or flat panels. Even my dinosaur 285-lb 36" Sony Trinitron HDTV already went to DVI and it's over 10 years old...

Sounds like a display problem, did you try hooking up an external display? Then you'd be sure if it was really the CPU/system was fried.

Sounds like you made a good call deciding not to be pushing this bike to it's upper limits on speed / road choice. The 31T coincides with that driving style and it sounds like you've got it tuned great now. Let's just see how it holds up and also I'm very curious to how the MPG will stack up over time. Keep me / us posted!

So I suppose that's why the Tao Tao's, for example, love higher octane. The one I had at least had pretty high compression and was tuned lean, so it was perfect for it. In fact 87 would have probably destroyed the motor before too long.

Haha yall two are so cute. But yeah, he is right, higher octane indicates a higher resistance to detonation and I believe might have something to do with combustion temp as well. That's why you want it for high compression / boost, to prevent pre-detonation. It usually is formulated no different as far as actual "combustability"? I've experimented some with toluene (a kind of / component in some paint thinners) in high performance cars, when I used to be into that sort of thing... I was under the impression it's just an octane booster not rocket fuel where a drop of it equals an ounce of gasoline. It can play a factor into A/F b/c too high an octane for the particular engine results in unburnt fuel it doesn't have enough compression to combust.

I saw a guy with some pegs on his scooter a few months ago in downtown that looked pretty comfortable. He had someone riding with him and probably does that a lot so he mounted those pegs. Big guy, actually big girl on the back, too ;D

Hahaha its nuts. There's some really affluent parts here and some not so much, so it's not to say crime rate is extremely low, it's pretty low but seems like it's a target for people from other areas sometimes. There's just a weird divide with the rapidly growing population and socioeconomic diversity. So they have the tax base to hire all these officiers but there's only so much they can do to reduce crime that's already happened!

Law enforcement varies hugely in the US depending on where you are. Here in Cary, police will respond immediately to calls of vehicles parked on residential streets for more than a night, damaged / deteriorated street signs, fireworks on July 4th, semi-obnoxious noise or exterior lighting, people selling magazines door to door, warrants from traffic tickets a few days after the court date, heck maybe they'll even come visit if you don't mow your lawn for a couple weeks. The town is overstaffed on public / emergency services, I know most would criticize me for making such a statement but it's true, too much funding not enough things to do. They get bored. I had 7 cops come within 15 min to help me push my disabled car out of the street in the middle of the night a few years ago and they seemed to enjoy it (I didn't even call them!). Fortunately they don't hassle scooters at least. But props to those guys for investigating a stolen scooter, don't think they'd do that here. You never know who you'll get dealt.

And you don't need a driver's license to have them sit in your driveway

I buy cars at the insurance auction about once a month, most just go for parts, some are worth to fix, retitle, and sell, although mostly those are like 10 yr old or newer. In NC to sell more than 7 cars a year you need a dealer's license, so I try to brush just up against that number every year ;D No limit to what you can buy, part out, and send to the scrapyard though!!!

DX Red is usually oil indicator in my experience. Even if it's a 4T it may still be an oil light, possibly intended to hookup to an oil level or pressure switch your scooter doesn't have... if it doesn't come on when you first turn the key on as a "self-test" it probably isn't used.
