so ive had problems with the 49cc scoot for a while and found out the piston rings went so i figured seeing im taking it apart anyways might as well up grade so i got an ebay 100cc bbk and a uni intake. runs awesome BUT, when i go over 40mph it cuts out comes back cuts out comes back. now ive read were ppl have had to replace there gas lines cuz they would start to pinch and cut off fuel or am i in need of a bigger jet? the kit came with bigger jet or was that just sound like some ebay crap NOOB ? now im still running the stock exhaust can this interfear as well?

put the new jet in if it is larger and search how to do a plug chop. if you up grade the exhaust you will need to rejet also.

[replyingto=thebeerguy]thebeerguy[/replyingto]100cc kits call for - jetting depending on your intake and exhaust setup. A free flow filter and performance exhaust calls for + usually. This also depends on your elevation and other factors etc. Stock CDI units usually do have a rev limiter which will prevent you from hitting your top speed, you should try getting an unlimited CDI and see if that helps your speeds. I use this one: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008RU3FRA/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I had the same issue, it was low vac at wot. Not enough vac for petcock, I went manual. Problem solved.

Yeah petcock would make sense, or you're topping out the gearing and hitting the CDI's rev limit
