larrball, we lived in Belle and moved to Holts Summit MO, so my son and his significant other could find work. They swore they would help pay half the bills and hardly helped pay any bills for 9 months. The electric bill went from $89 per month to $292 per month. The rent was suppose to be $450 per month and the landlord tacked on another $100 per month for water usage. The landlord has been promising to fix the dishwasher since we move in and still claiming its on back order. The floors are caving in- again cheap labor to suck people in, make look good and later findout it was cheaply put together. So my son has now decided to move to Ohio and we can't afford to stay here, so we are moving to Quincy with our other son. Other son is a Missouri Corrections Officer making $2600 per month. He lives in Quincy, 5 miles from Missouri. We are going to put most things in Storage and move to IL for about 2 years.

I live in Missouri right now, but am going to be in Quincy, IL come next month to live. Is there anyone from the Quincy area that can give me tips about living their? I am planning on riding my scooter up there, from Jefferson City MO( 3 hour ride). My scooter is a 250cc scooter. Last Fall, I took a 200 mile ride round trip, so it should be able to handle the trip. LOL. Attachments:

Yes, the 150cc scoots are not made for long distance travel on the interstate. They can go faster than the minimum speedlimit which is 40 mph in most States. But are you going to want to be going 45 mph full throttle and cars coming up on you at 70 to 75 mph.. That is the question. Interstate travel is meant for long distance travel and a 250cc scooter is barely able to keep up that pace for to long. I ride a 250cc scooter and still choose times that traffic is not bad, before deciding to take a long distance trip on the interstate. If you have a lot of hills to climb, well even on a 250cc scooter, you are going to slow down a tad. It is not as safe as back roads that are 55 mph, for any 150cc scooter. I rode 40 miles on( Belle MO to Highway 63 was 55 mph about 14 miles long) ( Highway 63 to 50 was 65 mph 19 miles long) ( 54 Expressway was 60 mph across Missouri River and 70 mph into Holts Summit 6 miles long at 70 mph). It is o.k. to ride on 70 mph Highways for a short duration but not long distance on a 250.. Sure, it seems like fun, if you know hours that people are working, kids are in school, ect.. More kids are out of school for the summer, increasing the opportunity of an accident with a high school driver. They are on the roads at all hours.

That is cool. Cops should be looking for scoots, if one is reported stolen. The often thing that occurs, is a scooter is stolen in one State and sold in another. Cops don't look hard for 49cc scooters-because in most States no registering is required. So thieves know this and can make $300 to $500 off a stolen scooter if they live in Kirkville MO and sale to Iowa. They also use a cell phone number to call that is untraceable. Cops don't put info in on a nationwide hunt for a 49cc scooter. A 49cc scooter is considered a motorized bicycle and if not found locally, well it is not found.

Now I do something a little different than most.. You guys are going to think, he is weird.. lol. I buy diet soda, instant tea and add Sweet & Low, drink a regular soda every once in a great while. Drink oat milk.. That is made with a cup of regular oats, table spoon of vanilla, 2 Sweet & Low packets, and teaspoon of salt, and add 2 quarts of water to blender. It mixes in about 1 moment and pour into quart size mason jars and put in refridge to chill. Now if you are like me, the oats will not be completely blended, so you pour the little particles left over, down the drain. Only try to save the milk. Shake jar good than pour into cereal bowl and pour Cheerios in it and eat. Oat milk is good for the dieter, because it still has more calcium than whole milk, taste is good, without the animal fat. Eating fresh fruit and veggies is best for the dieter too. Staying away from to much red meats and instead eat chicken and fish. Exercise is a must to complement a diet. You will notice your stomach growling at night in bed. 5 small meal per day are better than 3 big meals per day. Attachments:

I am still thinking of buying the Kymco Agility 50. It would be something to get around in town and maybe towing a bicycle trailer behind to go camping. I got a 250cc scooter but save it for highway rides.. The bank would do $50 per month on it.. Attachments:

Yes, we got to workout some.. I was walking 3 miles daily last year + exercising too. I had high triglycerides.. Today, not walking as much but still exercising some. Gained 7 lbs., but still lost 25 lbs. since last year. Quit taking high blood pressure meds due to loosing so much weight. Take Omega 3 fish oil to keep it down. I keep a pretty close eye on my weight, what I eat, ect.. I don't weigh a lot. I weighed last year 210 lbs.. and 6' 2".. Weigh today, 180 lbs. and lowest was 175 lbs.... I gain easily between 5 and 10 lbs. if not weighing self daily. 177 lbs. is my perfect weight for a person 6' 2".. Tall and fairly thin still but that donut ring around my mid section is what I worry about..lol Attachments:

Yes, I looked up my last name and came up with Creswell England. So my family originated from England. They did not come over on the Mayflower... lol. My Grandfather came from Oklahoma and moved to California during the Great Depression. They lived in Bakerfield where my Grandfather started a janitorial business with carpet cleaning. Us Creswell's were poor foke- cotton pickers during the depression. But my father soon ran CarpetMaster and made a decent living in San Jose.. We moved back to Missouri in 1984, and I married in 2002.. I am fairly good at artwork and studied art in college at the University of Missouri. Draw SSDI due to a severe stroke at age 16.. I heard my Great Grandfather died at 34, from a stroke. Today I watch my cholesterol and triglycerides due to stroke. What is your family history? Creswell means," well where watercress grows". I made a cheap seat cover for my Bali 250.. Pretty easy with $10 vinyl material, leather strips, hole puncher:, cut material to about same size, punch holes around outside edge, interlink together with leather straps, put over seat and staple edges on back of seat.. Sort of simple.. Attachments:
