[replyingto=domindart]domindart[/replyingto]Dom-That is the best thing that could happen to you this summer! It will be good for your health, but it will also be good for your overall feeling about yourself. Boy I would give anything to be able to do some exercise again, but because of bad legs I can't . Exercising is like smoking. You have to want to do it and then don't stop. Good luck with this enterprise .

Yes, we got to workout some.. I was walking 3 miles daily last year + exercising too. I had high triglycerides.. Today, not walking as much but still exercising some. Gained 7 lbs., but still lost 25 lbs. since last year. Quit taking high blood pressure meds due to loosing so much weight. Take Omega 3 fish oil to keep it down. I keep a pretty close eye on my weight, what I eat, ect.. I don't weigh a lot. I weighed last year 210 lbs.. and 6' 2".. Weigh today, 180 lbs. and lowest was 175 lbs.... I gain easily between 5 and 10 lbs. if not weighing self daily. 177 lbs. is my perfect weight for a person 6' 2".. Tall and fairly thin still but that donut ring around my mid section is what I worry about..lol Attachments:

I'm worried about love handles too! lol
I weigh about 190 to 200 lbs now, used to weigh around 145 in high school, bumped up to 165 in my twenties to early 30's. Now I bumped up to 200. 6 foot. Don't want to weigh anymore unless I put on muscle mass. Going to get out the roller blades. Been drinkin my Whey protien and downin' the pills lol Doin' some wieght lifting too but nothing to crazy. I already feel pain in my leg muscles and in the arms a little. I'm so used to not using these muscles I guess.

you can get back down to your twenty-something weight if you avoid sugar, especially high fructose corn syrup. it isn't easy to do though, that stuff is addictive.

Unless you are really working out, protein shakes will just add fat, not muscle. They are best consumed right after a good workout to get the most out of them. If you aren't working out daily, I wouldn't recommend drinking them daily unless you are creating a special diet that uses them in a supplemental fashion.
FWIW, I'm a gym rat.

High triglycerides and whey don't mix.. Doctor said stay away from anything with whey in it. It add negative fat on a person.

Now I do something a little different than most.. You guys are going to think, he is weird.. lol. I buy diet soda, instant tea and add Sweet & Low, drink a regular soda every once in a great while. Drink oat milk.. That is made with a cup of regular oats, table spoon of vanilla, 2 Sweet & Low packets, and teaspoon of salt, and add 2 quarts of water to blender. It mixes in about 1 moment and pour into quart size mason jars and put in refridge to chill. Now if you are like me, the oats will not be completely blended, so you pour the little particles left over, down the drain. Only try to save the milk. Shake jar good than pour into cereal bowl and pour Cheerios in it and eat. Oat milk is good for the dieter, because it still has more calcium than whole milk, taste is good, without the animal fat. Eating fresh fruit and veggies is best for the dieter too. Staying away from to much red meats and instead eat chicken and fish. Exercise is a must to complement a diet. You will notice your stomach growling at night in bed. 5 small meal per day are better than 3 big meals per day. Attachments:
