super bowl

I agree the commercial were a dud.. Crap. The Superbowl went the way I thought it would. That is that the Seahawk would stop the Bronco's, by first putting pressure on Manning to force him to get rid of the football earlier than he wanted. The second was the defense left no one open leading to Manning throwing interceptions. Having the best defense the odds should have been for the Seahawks to win easily. Manning can have the best offense but playing a team that leaves no person open to catch the football, well that team will always loose.

I was in need of a watch.. Bought some cheap watches from China for $5 and $6 per watch. Here are the two watches. Looks classy.. They were free shipping. Had to wait a month, but seem to be pretty good watches. [img src=" i900.photobucket.com/albums/ac203/Charles_Edward_Creswell/002_zpsca1b31ed.jpg" src="http:// " alt=" "] This watch is a speedometer watch. It tells the hour and minutes, day of week, day of month.. It cost $4.99 free shipping from Amazon. It went through 1 battery. I bought another and it works great. [img src=" i900.photobucket.com/albums/ac203/Charles_Edward_Creswell/004_zps50a18d8d.jpg" src="http:// " alt=" "] This is a $6 watch. The large hands work to tell time, but that is it. The calendar, min hand and sec hand are just decorative- not functional. It was $6 and free shipping. Had to wait a month because China is along way off. lol

Yes, my old mirrors kept flopping around and it had only a slight adjust to see. These mirrors are a lot more functional in movement. They move back and forth and up and down. The stem also moves up and down. So a lot more options to vision locations.
I tell you, the worst feeling in the world, is looking to check traffic conditions and notice your mirror has moved and you can't see a thing.. lol

See, I know they make clutch and brake levers that conform to ones hand comfort... The only thing about this, is I could not find one that would fit a Chinese scooter. So when I was younger, I knew a kid that had a bad hand from birth. He had someone cut his clutch and bolt it back together, so he could use it. He wasn't on a street machine- it was a Honda XR 75 dirt bike. So that is what gave me the idea to cut, drill and bolt differently.
I did ride up to the Illinois Riding Training Course( on the day they were closed). I practiced on the course and done fairly well at stopping with both hands. Stopped fairly fast. This was with cutting and flipping the brake lever. They don't suggest cupping the brake, so when practicing, I did not cup the brakes. I done swerving pretty good and riding around the course and stopping in the square. My rear tire when fast braking did not squeal, but the front brake grabbed more. Caused me to slide forward a little.
I am going to try and take the Missouri Riders Course.

[img src=" i900.photobucket.com/albums/ac203/Charles_Edward_Creswell/002_zpse24722f7.jpg" src="http:// " alt=" "] Notice my front brake lever- it has been cut, drilled, flipped around, and turned upside down. It is I had a severe stroke at age 16. I am now about age 50. Started using rear brake about percent of the time. So tried using front brake more, but still had difficulty... ok.. But last October, decided that my fingers may not improve greatly( considering age is against me and time). So I kept working my fingers and hand, but decided something else had to be possible to react in a timely fashion when braking. So I took it upon myself to take brake lever off scoot. Cut it into two halves. I flipped the end piece over which brought the brake closer to me. I than placed the end piece on bottom of the lever, so my hand would not have to strain so hard when grabbing lever. So anyhow, it still functions as a brake- brake lights still work. Do you see anything wrong with this?

I did not do a round trip there... I had put on a new front tire and moved back to Missouri. I own 2 rear new tires for my scooter, but in the move, could not afford change rear tire and pay to move. So left it in Illinois 2 weeks and went to got it. I am on SSDI, get a fair amount, but still price of living, rent, medical bills, ect.. I would have rode it back, but to it snow and ice covered the ground. lol.. So it was a bit chilly when first moving. 24 degrees out. It is going on 7 years, since buying the scooter new, so it is not good to press luck. It has started there, after a month of sitting, in 26 degree weather. It was last started, 7 days ago. Can't stand 0 degree weather.. burr... I did travel about 300 miles back and forth to Marshall MO from Holts Summit MO and back.. It was in November, weather was like 65 degrees.

Ya, that is the main reason for posting post. To give others ideas on what to do if something like what occurred to me, don't have to be the end of the world. Oh I was upset, but knew the insurance company would kick in some. Had a $250 deductible but the deductible also included price for labor. Labor came too $75 per hr x 4 hours $300.. Parts were $259.. But anyhow, the money put the scooter back together. But parts are easily put together with JB Weld, instant plastic compound, some glues.. Amazon.com is where I go for materials. Like carbon fiber wrap, I bought a 12 inch x 60 inch, for $1.99..
What I done was place a thick layer of JB Weld, that is because it needed to hold together better, since a big crack was in it. It was than covered with carbon fiber wrap( thinking the carbon fiber wrap would be used to even add more strength to the crack).

In the State of Missouri, one does not have to register nor carry insurance on a 49cc scooter. They are required to have a car drivers license to operate the scooter. Police rarely enforce 49cc scooters unless they are obviously doing something wrong. Now in some municipal districts( like in St Louis MO) they have 49cc scooter laws that coordinate with State laws. Like in St Louis, you must ride with a orange flag, otherwise you can get a $25 fine. In Belle MO and various other cities or towns, you must register it with the city for $10 per year and carry insurance. Cities and towns have the right to pass laws also and therefore are simply doing so. I own a 250cc scooter that is registered with MO, insured, ect.. So it falls under the same laws as a motorcycle- therefore can not be taxed by any city or town for any reason. State law trumps city or town ordinances where motorcycles and cars are concerned. A 49cc moped is considered a motorized bicycle- therefore under a different category. Cities and towns have been forcing regular bicycles to register with the city. So why not motorized bicycles? Really if you register it, that proves you own it. If forced to insure it, you know you are protected again someone suing you if you are at fault for an accident. But there again, if you have renter insurance, well in most States, the moped is covered under the policy. Since it is a motorized bicycle( bicycle is the key word) than it is covered in case of accident or theft under renter insurance. I own a 250cc scooter and it is not covered under renter insurance because it is considered a motorcycle.

Ya, just bought vinyl carbon fiber wrap for .59, 12 inch x 60 inch black. Like your mirrors and thought I need it for dash. Dash has a crack in it due to blowing over in a wind storm. I recently used some J.B. weld to seal and repair crack. JB Weld held together and is dark like the plastic but with carbon fiber wrap, can make it more original cheaply. Amazon.com had the carbon fiber wrap in black for .59 + $5.00 shipping. I will do mirrors too. Give a little flair.

How to know when to change drive belt and clutch? My scooter has the original belt and clutch on, when bought new. Got a little over 7000 miles on scooter today. I check the belt and clutch at least twice per year. It seems ok still, but my concern is when out on the road- is the belt just going to break, eventually leaving me stranded. Should the belt and clutch be changed before it snaps so I don't get stranded.. What are your thoughts?

5 1/8 inches wide is 130mm.. Is there clearance under front fender? There would not be clearance under my Bali 250.. Probably best bet is to measure fender and see if it has enough clearance with measuring tape.. My scooter had about a 1/2 inch more than tire needed. You don't want to get so close that a rock would be picked up off street from 130mm tire and compromise between tire and fender. Fender would crack.. This was my concern too.
