Definitely a venting problem. We used to disconnect the vent tube from the oneway air valve and zip tie the hose, making sure it was higher than the tank. But then again....it IS a Tao Tao.

That address tracks back to BMS....so it appears to be the BMS parts dept.

Make sure the spacer is oriented in the correct position.

A couple of years ago I had an older gentleman come into the shop and purchase a SYM Symba {cub clone}. He told me that he stayed in Vietnam after the war and rode an old Honda Cub. He managed to put over 250,000 miles on it with two engine rebuilds. It's amazing what those little suckers will do,

I believe that's simply a vent tube.
BTW..if your ever going to become a dealer you'll have to memorize these two sayings:
1. "They all do that"
2. "They come that way from the factory".

Is it just me or does that logo for Longjia look like it's right out of the Third Reich ?

I applaud your strategic marketing decision. I can concur with your assertion that the Chinese business model reflects volume above all else. My two cents would be that you consider bringing in one of their 125cc motorcycles as well. www.jiajue.com/

I was a dealer in Pittsburgh for 6 years. I can count on two hands the number of 50cc scooters we sold. If you've got any terrain other than flat land, you're in for a real headache. Becoming a motor vehicle dealer in PA is a long, arduous ,not to mention expensive, process. Good Luck.

10,000 miles on a scooter that wholesales for about $425 is quite a feat.

....... Its a rough environment in the worst where one would choose to hide personal items for safe keeping in a 1 or 2 liter bottle inserted up their own back sides resulting in regular cavity searches by the guards when bottles became unaccounted for since they many times used them to distill liquor, etc. Ouch.....my brain really hurts now.

Terry had us work on his scooter a couple of times. He's doing his time about five miles from me in Western Penitentiary. Still not sure why he posted as he did.
