Alright I'll dig them up for you. The clutch won't come off with an air or electric impact so I may just saws all the nut off. Lol Yikes...if you cut the nut off...the primary gear shaft will be no good. A primary gear shaft intact is what I need and the rest of the stock long case gears ya got. But as I said..if you have to cut the nut on the primary input shaft..that will render that gear useless.. Glenn

Anybody need anything from a 50cc long case or a gy6 150cc? Willing to ship, Thanks, Ryan. YES! I need tranny gears from a stock GY6 50cc. I bought a used Peace Sports B09 from a guy. He replaced the primary and secondary gears with shortcase ones as the ratio was an 'up gear' from the stock longcase. Bottom line is..the short case gears are designed for a tiny 10" tire and this Scoot comes with 12" high profile tires. So the final ratio is so high..you can barely take off. 5,500rpm is max even with the 100 BBK. Takes a half mile to hit 40 mph as the engine struggles under the load...and the clutch slips for the first 20 feet or so.. After a half mile it is still barely pushing 5,500rpm. I always 'hop up' Scoots...but some just go way overboard. i.e. When he put the 100 BBK on.the compression was 235psi The starter could not crank it...and my lil 5' 8" 145lb body could barely kick start it...at times I could stand up on the kicker!! Added 1 extra head and base gasket...and now compression is 180psi. Starter cranks it..but slowly. However the gear ratio is killing me. So I am looking for stock long case gears..

DX Yup..Tank is no longer around..so you have no warranty. The did however make a good product...built by Shanghai Shenke...same company that makes many of the Jonway Scooters who are still in business. Man I want one of their Raptor 2 stroke scoots so badly too! Got to ride a Jonway Raptor..acceleration and top end are right up there with the top of the line scoots costing twice as much. Of course no where near the Aprilla SR50..but just a fast and snappy as the Benelli Andretti 50cc Scoot. Even though the warranty is not good anymore..you would like the Tank Touring Deluxe. Worked on many when I was a mechanic for a dealer. Only downfall I saw with them was their weight....but with a CVT roller weight swap then ran with the best of them.

Enviromoto does it again... I ordered a standard NCY CVT. They must have been out...and Jeremy substituted it with the higher up one...the Golden Pulley. Rock on Enviromoto...

howdy, is it possible or desirable to just switch out the 12" tire for a 10" and get the gearing back? or maybe go to a low profile tire or lose 200 pounds---now that's a funny not a comment of any particular. lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken Lmao...if I lost 200 lbs...I would weigh -60 I only weigh 140 or so lbs. @ hank appreciate it fellow military retiree...we gotta stick together ya know..I thought war was ...until I retired and poof I was in the Civilian world. Total culture shock...it's a jungle out there. I am used to men and women 'Having my back'...not back there looking for a place to bury a knife... I gotta give the previous owner some credit..he knew shortcase gears would be an 'Up Gear'...he just didn't know it was above and beyond what the 50mm big bore kit could handle with the jumbo sized 12" tires vice the lil 10" ones. Many do however fail to consider tire size when gearing to a higher ratio. They don't realize its like having a Monster truck with 66" Terra Tires on it...being pulled by a Dodge Neon 2.2 liter engine and transmission... ...... ;D Maybe somebody here has a set of used stock longcase primary and secondaries they would sell me.

[replyingto=ramblinman]ramblinman[/replyingto]Ok..another look over and tear down...found out I was wrong. Did some research and learned quite a bit. The low speed and poor acceleration are caused by the gearing. It has shortcase gears in it..designed for the tiny 10" tires...but the engine is a long case with 12" high profile tires. Hence the reason it will not rev past 5,500rpm when riding it. The ratio puts too much load on the engine which does not have the power to handle it. It is geared too tall. Revs beyond redline on the stand though. I wondered why acceleration and revs were not only poor..but after you drive it stop and go a few blocks...the clutch slips on take off...gets super hot. When the clutch is slipping it will rev really high until the clutch grabs...then it drops rpm by about 2,500 and bogs its way slowly up to 40 or so taking a half mile to get there. This temporary high rev is not caused by the 1.5K clutch springs....if so it would rev that high all the time. Only time it does that is after several stop and goes...or when taking off on a small incline or in the grass. So I need to find the proper longcase gears to get the ratio down to where it was designed to be for the 12" high profile tires. Best way to describe the feel of the ride...is to start your car out in second or third gear...where you get that little bit of clutch slip as it tries to mush forward under a load. Silly me..I was told the gears were swapped...but I did not know shortcase gears were used....and the ratio was so tall it put the engine WAY out of the powerband.. As for the mid range bog on the stand..A/F screw adjustment and Main Jet Needle height adjustment cured that.. Now it's just a Turtle cause it is geared so steeply...

I have one too that I could not compress it into the Hoca bb torque spring base Not tried it in a BB Base..it's never been used. But the 2K one I have identical to this fit nicely in a BB Base...but it was not Hoca..it is this one at 1/2 the Hoca price. www.scooterparts4less.com/Moped_Web/50ccJog_Clutch_Spring_Base.htmCan't beat it for $15.00...and it works well to deter spring binding.

DX That valve is bad Mojo...how you even got 60psi is beyond me with that valve opened up that far...

[replyingto=dystopias]dystopias[/replyingto]You are correct..both valves should be closed...but one is stuck open. You have scuff marks on the piston skirt badly...and look closely at your rings...they are scuffed as well. So your cylinder should show some scuffing also. Question is why? A bent valve stem will stick the valve open...broken or compressed valve spring can too..but you can push the valve shut.If you can't push it shut most likely it is bent. With all that carbon..it shows the engine was not run too hot and causing the damage. Therefore I would check the oil pump and oil level. Have you ever run it while low on oil or empty? Because to me...with all that damage...rings piston and valves..it leans towards an oil flow issue or lack of oil issue. Cheapest and fastest route is to re kit the engine. But DO CHECK AND VERIFY OIL FLOW! With the new kit on...leave the valve cover off..pull the plug wire so it does not fire up...then crank the engine and look for oil coming from your Rocker Arms.If after a few seconds of cranking you see no oil flow...there is a high probability your oil pump failed.

Have you tried eBay or amazon ? Yes...and they want $139.00-$149.00 for the very same Airsal BBK that this company is selling for $49.00 My original question was asking if anybody has tried the Airsal BBK... Input on that is what I am looking for...

Anybody ever try one of these?.. Anything special about it.. i.e. more power than the typical Ebay no name brand ones that many use here. www.spi-parts.com/scooter-parts-performance/shop-by-engine-type/gy6-50-qmb-139-50cc/airsal-70cc-cylinder-kit-02350150.htmlReason I ask is...I just bought a used 2012 Peace Sports B09 that came with a 50mm BBK from an Ebay vendor that many mention on here. I rode the Scoot when the guy got it brand new...it was a 44mm 'Secret 63' and had more power and speed than this 50mm BBK he installed. In fact this 50mm kit has about as much power and speed as a 39mm 50cc stock Scoot. I tore the engine top end down..inspected and measured everything..all was great and done right....installed new gaskets...but still the same. Doubled the base gasket and used a thicker head gasket because it was pushing 235psi compression and starter could barely turn it. Now it is at 180psi and cranks fine...but still...no power or speed. Revs beyond redline on the stand....but only 5,500-6,000 when ridden...for a top speed after a lonnnnnnnggg run..of about 42 mph. Checked gears...they are stock 11.05:1 Not sure how one BBK could be better than another..as long as they both have proper compression...same bore and the engine runs. Anyway..was just curious if anybody tried the BBK in the link above..and what their thoughts on it are. Glenn
