Hello all. I had much the same problems last year. After much frustration it ended up being a bad intake gasket and a small crack in the intake manifold. A cheap fix after several months of changing out parts. Happy Scooting

Was not clear on previous post. I was referring to the carb spacer. Buddman

For over a month I have had symptoms similar to this. I had an "eureka" moment last weekend. I have changed out parts and the symptoms have gone away and then came back. I have read this thread and not seen my solution. I found that the spacer was cracked and the nuts somewhat loose. Replaced the spacer and gasket. After this the "new" coil with coil wire was not staying on the spark plug. At idle it would slide down but the vibrations at a higher idle it would rise up and arc, changing the timing. Later it would fall down and seem to be attached. I tossed this and put back on my old one and it works great now. Maybe this will be your moment as well. Buddman

Ordered a set of front turn signal lights from Scrappy's. The web site said it was for my 2007 Adventure 150. When I got them they were way too big and obviously not the right ones. Four days of e-mails before I got a response. Took pictures and e-mailed them back. Scrappy's e-mailed back and said that I had a "RARE" model and they didn't stock them. Asked if keep or send back. Sent back and waited a week before I could get a response from them. The mailbox had been vandalized and they didn't have a key so I waited another week. Finally after another week I got on the phone and talked to the manager who finally said they had them. NOW THE HOOK. Scrappy's would refund the original price minus the shipping charges PLUS they would charge me 20% Restocking fee. Also they refused to pay the shipping back to them. I ended up out $18 and they had the parts. I would have been cheaper just to have kept them. They do know how to play the game and I'm not doing business with them again.

I have a Hunter style. I tried 55w before and melted down the lamp mount. I now use 35w and runs cool enough. Also you need to keep in mind the wattage available. If you are on a 6-8 pole stator you might not have the power available. Stay Safe

I recently had the same noise. I found the strap around the fuel tank ha stretched a little and was making the rattle only when I was up to speed. I put a rubber spacer between the tank and strap- problem gone.

Hi Ron, welcome to the forum. I live in Orlando and have had a scooter for over 10 years. Craig's list is a good place to start looking. I regularly see new 49cc for $700 and used ones for less. Find a local shop to you that doesn't nickle an dime you to death and learn to do the small things yourself. There is a wealth of information, both here and on other forums available to you. Above all-don't be afraid to ask questions after you have tried to look them up first! GOOGLE is your friend. Stay safe. Buddy

I have heard that you check the oil level 3 different ways:
One-check it with the dip stick inserted but not screwed in and the oil level should be half way up the crosshatched markings.
Two- check it with the dip stick inserted but not screwed in and the oil level should be all of the way up to the top of the crosshatched markings.
Three- Check it with the dipstick screwed in and the oil level should be all the way up to the top of the crosshatched markings
What is the learned opinion of this group?

Thanks out to John! The 11 pole stator/7 wire R/R went on without a hitch. He has fast shipping and a lot of knowledge to get my project done. I do appreciate all of the help and advice.

I had the same problem last weekend. The float needle jet retainer had partially slipped off it's holding tab which allowed it to not close.
