My biggest peeve is when I pull up as far as I can at an intersection to make room for a car to come up behind me over the sensor, and they want to stop 25ft back... LOL... QFT!

it is going to be insanely expensive for next day delivery. why can't you just order from someone that ships quickly and wait 3-5 days? where are you located. i have a new one sitting in a box unused... oh wait, never mind. it's for 50cc, sry.

I was following a couple of cars, and I think I was in the wrong position on the road, and didnt see the car ahead of the one I was folling had stopped to turn left. When the car I was following pulled into the right turn lane to pass the turning car, I was faced witha stopped car and hit the brakes, probably harder than I needed to. Down I went. Lesson learned, the hard way. i hate when people drive like that. it is a terrible feeling when you are the one stopped for the turn and the car behind doesn't change lanes until last second. one of these days me or someone else is going to get run over in that situation. good to hear you made it out of there alive... ride safe.

I found that it is LEGAL in North Carolina to run a redlight if it's not triggered. I'll do a little more research to make sure but I thought that I could get pulled for it. i would research it also but just know that not every officer is going to know every law. so if you do get pulled over, you may want to have documentation of that law. however if the cop seems a little rough around the edges just be quiet and take the ticket to court. that is my advice with dealing with police.

I was able to get up to 50mph today! What exactly is happening? When I'm at WOT, it doesn't go anywhere, then I throttle back for a bit, then I WOT again and get a boost. Can someone please explain what is going on? idk... wind effects my top speed by a lot. sometimes i can't get over 30mph if facing a strong breeze but with an ounce of wind at my back i have got it up to 52 with the rpm's at 8530 and it was still increasing. sounded like the valves where beginning to float so i backed off. not saying wind is your problem... just saying it is difficult to know the top speed of these 50cc scooters because a lite breeze will drastically effect performance.

yeah I tried stopping directly over wire- no dice. Also in my town at night on the smaller streets I could wait 4 hours and not see a car. some are less sensitive. if it didn't work on one side try pulling up on the opposite side or use a different lane. if it is a Quadruple Loop sensor then you should position your scoot in the center. the magnets aren't going to help much if any. you'd be better off pushing your center stand to the ground directly over the sensor. eventually you should find the sweet spot. i had the same problem a couple months ago when i bought my scoot. only 1 light i am having trouble with now on my way home from work. i just can't find the sweet spot in the left turn lane at this one intersection so if a car isn't already there, i just turn at the next light. i found this site awhile ago. it was very helpful for me: modernvespa.com/forum/wiki-trafficsignals

is it also hard to start? recently my rpm's where all over the place and my scoot was difficult to start. my cdi was bad. i don't know how you test but if you have a spare lying around you could change it out and see if that solves the problem.

Oops... I've got one of those CDI's on my scoot. I had the "red" one for 5 years trouble-free, and ruined it by getting it wet. I got the "blue" one from the same seller (supposed to be a better CDI than the red one) and it's been running great for 500 miles. HOWEVER... you're NOT the first rider to complain about the blue one. I really thought these were all pretty much the same "guts" in different color-anodized extrusions. Maybe NOT!I do believe I'll get another "red" one if I can find one, or the "orange" which seem to have no major issues, to keep as a spare. Thanks for the "heads up".Leo in Texas i probably put 500 miles on mine before it failed. if you don't already carry around a spare... i highly recommend it. i liked it when it was working. my acceleration was better but i can't afford to switch it out every month.

I have several different CDI's . Did you want a fixed cdi or did you want a variable timing cdi ? John do you have the one alleyoop is using? i think his is yellow. been looking for that old post of his but can't find it. i really don't understand the difference other than a rev limiting cdi which i don't want, obviously. i just want one that is going to last for 5,000+ miles.
