I need a muffler gasket and a new muffler (with all the mounts) for my 2012 150cc TaoTao VIP Powermax Scooter. Who wants my money? I haven't been able to find a vendor that doesn't take at least 3-4 days shipping. I love the authorized vendors. Would any of you work with me to ship me a part today asap? I've got my credit card waiting. I'll pay the extra shipping. Please somebody take pity on my soul Anyone recommend a scoot site or vendor? Or does a vendor want to step up?

partsfor scooters always ships my orders the same day priority mail. scrappydog scooters does the same, butthey don't have a toll free, and hard to get on the phone=busy a lot. YOU HAVE TO CALL. P.F.S. has better gaskets 1-866-478-8700

I will call partsforscooters and ask. I'd really prefer fedex overnight. Mail delivery in my area means route isn't done till 4:30pm and post office closes at 4:30pm… meaning literally you can't ever pickup most packages unless you take a full day off work.

SailRacer: www.partsforscooters.com/Welcome?search=mufflerThat's a link to the stuff I'm looking at. Does anyone want to recommend me a muffler? I have the cheepo stock one that comes with my scooter. I'd like to keep my order under $100. What's the best muffler I can get? I'm only ordering a new muffler because I want all the mounts and gaskets. My current muffler has some rust, so I figure I'll make it beautiful and keep it as a backup muffler. Mostly the mounts are the important part.

it is going to be insanely expensive for next day delivery. why can't you just order from someone that ships quickly and wait 3-5 days? where are you located. i have a new one sitting in a box unused... oh wait, never mind. it's for 50cc, sry.

I do not like the price for overnight shipping for anything. I wanted to buy the MRP exhaust for my ITA150, but the shipping from any dealer who listed it wanted at least $35 for normal shipping. Forget about any sort of rush. I ordered an exhaust from Puerto Rico with free shipping and had it in maybe 4 days. Ordered another for scooter #2 and had that one in less than a week.

yeah ups and fedex next day air is insane! i used to use it a lot at work for machine parts. sometimes shipping is more than the part itself. you can try 2nd day, it's cheaper. I find that for smaller parts usps priority is the best. If I order from either of the ones I mentioned earlier on a monday, I usually have it on wednesday

[replyingto=salracer]sailracer[/replyingto]$35 for shipping is great with me. This scooter is my ONLY transportation.
It will cost me $48 ONE way to cab ride to my house.
Please any of the vendors if you see my thread contact me. I'll pay the shipping. I still haven't found anyone who will do what I need!

This is the one I put on my Znen - a tad loud, could use some sort of packing maybe. Bolted right on. Came with no gasket or mounts besides the can strap. www.ebay.com/itm/181160168201Same seller has gaskets and stuff. But I fab what I need. IF I were in a huge emergency hurry, I'd try something more local, rather than paying an arm and leg for shipping. Maybe someone knows something in your area, wherever that may be. Many aftermarket exhaust systems will work on many different scooters, HOWEVER, even with universal hangers and stuff, mods may be required to get the can secured properly. Do not ride with the muffler in the air, or you will break the studs at the head.

Okay so I bought everything EXCEPT the muffler (mine is still good). Lots of extra gaskets both the O type, and the standard type. I assume you only use one or the other right? I would never use the o-ring gasket + the flange type gasket together? Which one is better (I bought both)
Anyway You know everyone is generously overcharging (The first scooter store to actually participate in Amazon Prime will be million dollars a day) when you pay $58 shipping for $34 of parts.
My total was $80 out the door for some gaskets and bolts.
What does the bracket look like on the far end of the muffler?
This part is missing too and I'd like to replace it. The front bracket is good though.

I'm having a good day so far, I managed to get the broken Exhaust Bolt out of the engine! I even cut a gasket from large engine block gasket material. It's still loud without the O ring.
I'll have the stock O-Ring and a Fancy gasket tomorrow. Can I use both the O-Ring and the Gasket or is this bad for my muffler?

I cut my own flat gasket today from A chevy engine block gasket. (No O-Ring) however it's still not very quiet like it was with the O Ring. Granted I didn't go nuts with JB Weld or end-of-the-world tight because I do not want to break temporary bolts before my new ones arrive tomorrow.
Just disappointed that it's not quieter. So I bough the performance gasket and the O-Ring kind as backup. Do you want me to mail you one of them? I'll have about 4 extra O-rings. If you need one let me know.
I guess I figured I'd put both an O-Ring on and the other gasket, but I didn't want it to overheat the engine. It probably wouldn't start if it couldn't push out enough air right? Like a potato in the tail pipe?
Sorry for my ignorance. let me know if you want me to mail you an o-ring I got extra!

I bought the premium exhaust gasket set from PFS,I also bought the ring type(just in case) The flange gasket works best. You can usee both too, if the ring type fitsinto the flange type. It flattens out.
