get an exhuast on it or it wont run Actually it does run without the exhaust. But that being said....this is why I am trying to find out about this moped, so I can buy repair/replacement parts...like an exhaust...so can you offer any help in identifying it? ? he means it won't run for long. i've heard you can burn up the head on these scoots running them without an exhaust.

Hello. I have been trying to figure out my fuel economy. I have calculated 120 mpg. Is that possible? I think I have a 1.6 gallon tank and at 3/4 of a tank I have driven 50 miles. Thanks in advance. i've heard the fuel injected 50's can get well over 100mpg. i doubt you could get that out of a 150 though. you sure that's miles and not kilometers?

enjoy them while you're young. once the gallstones become a problem those hot peppers are worse coming out than going in. i <3 spicy food but the body can't handle it anymore.

Rotella

Not putting Rotella down. Could it just have been the stuff in there when you bought it was old sludge? Then any new lubricant would make a world of difference, right? Recently, I purchased a 1982 Gold-wing that needed some work. After putting it back together and changing the oil with Castrol 4t 10w40... 15w-40 rotella is what i use. i've tried synthetic but the engine does sound much louder so i switched back and been using it ever since.

probably dirty carb. letting fuel sit in the float bowl for weeks will clog up the jets. it doesn't take much, a tiny spec of dirt in the jets will cause it to run rough.
i could be wrong but i would start with cleaning the carb so you can rule it out but i suspect it will solve your problem.

what you believe about the way the world and United States are headed is up to you to decide and it does not really affect me other than in Panama we use the USD , that scares me to be honest as I believe the days of the petro dollar will soon be over. 3 years ago i wanted to move out of the states. unfortunately i don't think you can escape the pitfalls of paper currency no matter where you live. stock up on food, wine and precious metals if you concerned about dooms day.

Click on PROFILE then Click on NOTIFICATIONS and you can setup some things up. Alleyoop this never worked for me in the past until just now. i always thought it was because you were a mod that you had different features... nandy, when you click profile then click "edit profile" then click notifications. all my boxes are set to forum but i see you can change them to email. very cool, wish someone showed me this a year ago.

the only thing i know to do on this site is set up bookmarks so you know if their is a new post in a thread you're following. open any thread you want to follow and click "action" for the drop down menu, click "bookmark". then when you log-in you'll be notified of any new posts in all your bookmarked threads.

Rainy Ride

i ride in the rain often. i usually try to wait until it stops but i don't always have the time. but the worst part of wet roads is your stopping distance basically doubles. not a problem if you just widen your following distance but it can be a serious problem if someone pulls out in front of you. a yellow rain jacket is probably the best defense against the rain and to help with visibility.

i think stock 50's come with 18mm carbs. good luck getting it to work, i been tinkering with these scoots for over a year and i still struggle to get mine running perfect.
