Riding the scoot....once home...Wine, sculpting and watching fireworks from afar.

I'm staying home and keeping my dog calm. She doesn't do well on the fourth unless I'm home. Gigi is funny, so loyal to my wife, but looks to me for protection...

Catch up on sleep because I just haven't gotten much lately. Ugh. May walk down to the beach and watch the fireworks show.

On July 3, I'll be playing with the rest of the Civic Band for an old-time 19th century 4th of July celebration.
On July 4, I'll be working. That's okay though, I'll make time plus half, plus holiday pay. And otherwise I'd just lie around home.
That eve I'll go to the city's fireworks and take pictures.
But the old family tradition, 'til all the men moved away, we would hand-crank ice cream in the morn. And boy-howdy there's no equal to home-made ice cream that's been properly hand-cranked in the old Dixie Belle freezer.

Ride the scoots to the movies. Later ride the scooters to a local fireworks display like La Senterra. We were going to travel out of state for the weekend but could not find a place to board her dog.

I have two dogs and one will watch the skies and bark at the fireworks but my other one she gets so scared that a few days ago i was not home at night and they were shooting off fireworks my mom found her trying to hide behind my AC unit. So she will be with me during that night.

Lol, that reminds of those "vests" that Phantom Fireworks sells, or used to, for dogs. Supposedly they kept them calm... Lol.

I would normally be working, but asked for it off. I paid someone $50 last year to work for me on the 4th!
