Another thing if anything breaks on my china bikes its way less money to repair , actually anything on these cheap scoots is repairable so potentially it can last a lifetime. If you have the skill a china bike can last a lifetime, my scoots will last as long as i want them to if anything breaks i'll replace it and i guarantee even with the repairs that my china bikes will need it will still cost less than a vespa or honda.

I guarantee my modded tao will outrun by a huge margin a new brand name vespa bintelli, puma, honda or whatever. I went to a honda ride with my modded china galaxy with 18/46 gear set and all the extra's my 58 mph gps bike and they couldn't come close to keeping up with their hopped up ruckuses. They never told me again about future rides made them upset they paid over 4000 bucks for their rides after mods i paid a third of that and made theirs look slow.

Heck for a 1000 if you can rebuild motors you can get a cheap china bike new for under or around 700 bucks, put a quality airsal, hoca, ncy piston kit, head, camshaft and all the other stuff like belt variator and carb. Then you don't have a china bike anymore its a hoca, ncy or whatever you put in it. My tao isn't really a tao anymore i replaced almost every piece and it can be done around 1000 bucks.

I did the ncy 61mm kit it was harder to get the piston over the jug the compression rings are super stiff and the oil rings slipped out of the slot twice. I had to take the piston off twice and rearrange the oil rings hopefully you didn't fold one of the thin oil rings into the same place as the other, it did that to me twice. Only kit I've had this issue with and it would definitely cause it to smoke if this happened.

the efi is costly and i know regardless how much i put in my 50cc stroker and all it will still be slower than my 150. I may do an efi at a later date on my 150.

im gonna finish my 61mm kit up tomorrow i'm gonna try it with a 117.5 26mm carb i'll keep you updated on how it goes we have similar set ups.

I've had several tao's two in my garage now my original Tao and my stepsons Tao t3 no issues with either but replaced all the parts with quality stuff.

Got the scooter back today its in my garage it starts right up runs great probably wont mod until spring since its cold

The stiffer contra spring raises the rpm now your overreving and loosing speed. Heavier torque springs require heavier weights.

Get the 150 id never go back to a 50 my modded 50 wasn't much slower top speed than my 150 but the torque acceleration and hill climbing from 50 to 150 is huge.

The best upgrade is always a bigger motor alot of the upgrades need a bigger motor or you bottleneck.
