Actually some of us like it over on MV , I think what the disappointment is that it doesn't have the 300 motor. I like that it has a metal body lower seat height and 2k less than a Vespa, not much to dislike. Just needs a bigger motor. 🛵 I'm basing it on the negative comments about the GY6 engine. I play nice there but Chinese scooter problems centered around cheap components. Many of which were ordered by importers here in this country. Even in the dark ages ten years ago I could count on less than one hand the blowups of GY6 engines. I just sold my 150cc with near ten thousand miles and it ran like new. A 300cc engine might come but keep in mind that 65% of the scooter market here is 50cc. They might build a 300cc engine eventually but it might not come here. A new Stella is not a bad analogy but it will be interesting to see if this scooter makes market penetration.

I can't help but wonder if hitting potholes and the vibration you mentioned is the cause. A wire popped loose, the spark plug cap came off or something shorted out from a rubbed wire. All you can do is start searching.

Years ago there was the Automoto, a 150cc Chinese trike with a roof like that. People who owned them put large miles on them because of their all weather mobility. Scooter owners are not motorcyclists. They buy them to use like cars and aren't hung up on looks over practicality. It just might work here.
A former member, Automotoguy, put 73,000 miles on his before getting rid of it.

Start at $1100 and see where it goes. It's a good time of year to sell but be flexible about what you will take.

I know what TGB is but I never heard of anything bigger than a 150 in this country. Is there a factory website? Or an owners forum. If there is scooter in this world there's usually an owners group.
I just wanted to see the TGB website and the company doesn't list a 250 in their product line. Do you have a picture of the scooter?

I won't pretend I have any idea what's going on but I never even heard of a TGB 250. All I can advise is to back track from the fuel pump with a multimeter and see if you can find a break in the current. If the bike is fuel injected there could be a bad relay or sensor somewhere.

I dragged out the 1991 Nighthawk for a good twenty mile run. The sun was bright, the roads were clean and we had a rhythm going. Hopefully it is just the start of good weather. It never ceases to amaze me that a twenty-eight year old small engine can rock like it does.

At that price you could buy a slew of China 50cc scooters and rotate them. Even a 50cc Piaggio Fly with four valves is under $2500. I guess they think if they can sell the Vespa 946 at ten and a half grand with a 150cc engine they can sell anything.

How long have you had it? How many miles do you have on it? I saw one in the flesh one day but it was the 150cc powered version. It was pretty compact for a 250.

It will take a new marketing approach for Harley. They have for years cashed in on the "Tough Guy" image. Bikes like this will have to be sold to a younger, non experienced crowd. It would be great if they succeeded.

As always, a tiny problem goofed up a scooter. These Chinese 50cc scooters are the biggest bargain around and the engines are rock solid. Even the high priced scoots suffer ill moments. Ride on.

I get that. I'm just surprised someone would ask that much for 12 year old Znens.
