I am! After working 13 out of the last 14 days, and every day but 1 (September 9th) since August 27th, I have a day off! Taking Monday and Tuesday off as well! Gonna - along the ocean - Jupiter/Juno Beach, perhaps? Up to Fort Pierce along A1A? Jupiter Island? Sewall's Point? Sailfish Point? We shall see...

I had a colonoscopy last weekend so I was gonna ride this weekend, come or high water. I snapped this while we were beach combing. Its a local house (mansion?) we call the Hotel Del. I don't know who owns it, but I need to be working in his/her line of work.

Coolness! Off to the north today - as far up A1A as we want to go... :-)

Today was the last of the days off... But - beautiful weather! Put 117 miles on the scooter - 1.57 gallons - 74.5 mpg. Pretty darn good, I'd say... Palm City through Stuart, Hobe Sound, Jupiter Island, Tequesta, Jupiter, Juno Beach (with a stop at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center - www.marinelife.org/ - Turtles!), down A1A through Singer Island to Palm Beach - the scenic route, along the water where possible. Then home. Back to work tomorrow...

Your worst day riding is still better than your best day working... These Kymco scoots DO give great gas mileage! Even my old carbureted Grandvista gives BETTER mileage than my Xingyue 150 did!!! You could hardly find a better all-round ride than that sweet "People"! Good choice... You'll probably still be riding it 30 years from now! Ride safe! Leo

The wife was still under the weather so I took out scoots today. Weather was fantastic, but a great deal of seaweed had washed up on the beach. It wasn't the sargassum type with the little fruit that look like grapes. I looked more like a bunch of lillys, without any blooms.

I did not get to ride this week. It was our anniversary and we had a bunch of other stuff to take care of. I did manage to buy a new 3/4 helmet for next summer. They are pretty cheap this time of year.

I made a grocery story run on the Buddy for some cillantro. Short ride, but I was able to try out my new helmet.

I see people do what you did, but in their big, inefficient, 4X4 diesel and large, loud gas engined trucks - every Saturday and Sunday morning!
"Honey, go get some coffee/beer/whatever" - "OK dear, I'll go burn 2 gallons of gas..."
These are the type of people who should have a scooter! I mean, they have their huge pickup truck bed to carry it to the service place. They should even buy Chinese scooters! Then they can cart them back and forth easily!

In the hot summer, it is actually feels cooler to me to take the scoot on short trips. The car becomes an oven in the summer heat.

I took the Fashion to work today. It's only fourteen miles round trip but a ride is ride. It was forty-two degrees this morning but I scarcely noticed. It's good to ride anytime.

Had mine out today, first time in eleven days. We've had really lousy weather this fall, so with dry roads this AM, and no rain close by, I bundled up, and rode the 13.5 miles to the coffee shop. Only 37* on the bank clock, that's next door to McDonalds, when I arrived. An hour later it was up to 40*, so after filling the tank, took the long way home, covering another 19 miles. By the time I parked the scoot, picked up the mail, and hoofed the 2000 feet to the house....that piping hot bowl of chili I had for lunch, sure hit the spot.
Very enjoyable morning.
