I finally got my wife's scoot running at full speed again after some carb issues. Gassed up at the local station an rode up and down the highway a few times. Weather was awesome, so I wish I could have ridden all day.

Late to the game, but 62 degrees and put 42 miles on today after two days of wrenching/cleaning.

This Vespa puzzle is about the only scooter action we have had lately. We have had foggy, bleak weekends for about 5 weeks. Just a few trips to the store.

Saw a Garter Snake on the golf kart path today. Other than that, I ran my routine errands. -i have tried unsuccessfully to upload pics on this thread several times with different browsers. Just one of those things, I guess.

We scooted Saturday & Sunday! Went to the White City Mercantile - got my wife a light-up turtle with a Tiffany-lampshade shell (Tiffany-style, anyway...) 😊 There is no banner, either - I think we are havin' some issues, website-wise...

I took my scoot out today, for the first time since October 26th. That's 5 months and 1 day since my last ride. Did just a 4 mile test run to get the tranny oil warm enough to drain.....temps in the low 40's, but it sure was nice to be on two wheels again. It's been a long winter. Looking forward to the warm weather, and the 8th season of putting around on my 'lil' china scoot.

I dragged out the 1991 Nighthawk for a good twenty mile run. The sun was bright, the roads were clean and we had a rhythm going. Hopefully it is just the start of good weather. It never ceases to amaze me that a twenty-eight year old small engine can rock like it does.

We rode both scoots to get state safety inspections this weekend. Now we can finally get plates renewed and rejoin the ranks of the street legal. Weather and other obligations prevented us from getting safety inspections on time.

I should have noted this when it happened. A couple of weeks ago I took the 250 Fashion out on a motorcycle rally. I wanted to see how CVT held up against bigger engines. Last year I took the 250 Nighthawk on a rally and danced on the gear shift lever all day.
At the beginning of the day I was parked across from the microphone and sign in desk. At one point the MC thanked everyone. "I want to thank all the motorcycle and scooter riders for showing up today." I was the only scooter there.
The ride was interesting. I was behind a pair of Harleys and they spent the day getting in my way. Imagine a 15 cubic inch Chinese scooter held up by an 80 cube Harley. Fortunately the route was pretty and I didn't hold anyone up.
Not bad for a small motored Chinese scooter.

It was very hot today, so we made a stop to hydrate.

I'm glad the Fashion/Helix is still running strong. I dont think I have ever been held up by a Harley while riding my scoot. Cagers usually hold me up.

It is September 30th, Monday. We have taken the day off, and are scooting up from Palm City/Stuart to Mulligan's in Vero Beach to meet friends for lunch. Eighty-Four degrees, partly cloudy - we will ride up the island road (A1A). Should be great fun!
I tried to put in the numbers for "eighty-four", and got an emoji with a GRRR! Ah, modern technology...
