BMW has applied for a patent for a roof for the electric C Evolution scooter (like the old C1).
Looks like the roof will fit some gas models too.
The roof is not so visually appealing, but it it would certainly allow you to scoot commute more often if you live in a rainy climate.

Years ago there was the Automoto, a 150cc Chinese trike with a roof like that. People who owned them put large miles on them because of their all weather mobility. Scooter owners are not motorcyclists. They buy them to use like cars and aren't hung up on looks over practicality. It just might work here.

A former member, Automotoguy, put 73,000 miles on his before getting rid of it.
