I know absolutely nothing about rebuilding gy6's, but doesn't black smoke denote a too rich condition. Is it possible the plug is burning the gas, too rich, not firing, but blowing smoke? Carb adj? But, W T F do I know. I'm an accountant

As there is no filter (other than a screen) the oil gets dirty quicker. Oil doesn't wear out, it gets dirty. On a car, the oil filter filters out the contaminants. On a scoot, the screen don't do c h i t.

Ok fellow riders, this my first time on any forum so please bear with me if I mess up, i do that a lot. I have been riding a Honda Shadow 600 for a few years until I found I couldn't hold it up near as easily when stopped. Found I have a pinched nerve and it makes my leg numb and weak when I ride. To make a long story short, I sold the Honda and ordered a IB Cyclone from Motobuys. It is due to be delivered Wed. 8/14. Since I started reading these forums, I feel I should have ordered from Rapid Jim but you know what they say about Hind Sight?! Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and to let you know that, with my luck, you may be hearing a lot more from me. Shally Welcome Jim is kool I like my 300cc Zodiac Feel free to ask anything Most good folks here I still got my Shadow 1100 Sabre and 1200 Aspencade May put on a Trigg kit Numb legs suck

$1500 will get ya a lot more than a 50cc, unless youre trying to skirt ins and licence. Get at least a 150 or 250 A good used Honda would be best. But, if you like tinkering check out what others are gonna suggest I'm biased so dont listen to me

Yea, gotta agree with ya on that one. So, you're saying that no one ever helped you and you're not gonna help anyone else? No wonder this world is fvcked up No offense, just saying But, be it known, that if I saw YOU broke down, I WOULD stop and help I would stop and help if I could, but not every time. If I got time, if the person looks like they need help, or if it's a pretty lady, but then it's for other than scooter reasons. lol nah, I come from a place where everyone can get help enough, but realistically, unless it's a loose wire which can be tightened by hand, I don't think there's a lot I could do without tools anyway. OK Checked your profile and see you're from the 'all about me' generation. But, u don't need tools or knowledge. Maybe a ride to a gas station, or safe location, or a fone call to a friend to cum pick em up. Just saying

I was going to Sturgis a few years ago, saw a HD parked on the side of the road, stopped, chatted, he was just taking a smoke break. But had a nice talk and saw him a few days later in Sturgis.
Riding down the main street in Denver, saw a HD parked and the owner sitting on the curb with his head in his hands.
His exhaust pipes fell off. I went to the auto store, bought some tools, went back and helped him put it back on, and tight this time
and many more
never hurts anyone to do a good thing
Reason: I ran out gas in the middle of no where Texas (between Lubbock and Wichita Falls) The guy tkes me to the next town, lets me use his gas can (I had the $5), and takes me back, and WAITS till I get my 65 Plymouth running. That's why I don't hesitate to help others

For what it is worth Ally . I knew Mr Zerk , He lived in Kenosha ,had a farm of some kind.He use to come into the the United Tea store that I worked in and take all the lettuce produce etc and put in his Cadillac and haul it back to the farm to feed his turkeys and hogs. He was pretty ex centric and kind of strange. We all knew when he came to the store ,because the first thing he did was turn off the radio. Didn't like noise ! He made millions from that little Zerk fitting ! Oh yes I Jerry rigged a handle for the seat ,seems to work OK .I will improve on it later. 1, Verne: I just got back from Denver and saw this, but you saw it before I did, so....NEVERMIND!!! 2. ex centric....look who's calling the kettle black!!!!!! 3. Glad Alley was able to provide a great pic of the drain and fill plugs. Maybe that's why he's a MOD? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4. Alley, Verne is older than both of us (put together maybe even) 5. OK, not really, but I wanna see Verne and his new Q6 really soon. 6. Verne, how's the PDI coming along?

I posed that question a while back. Whereas a 50cc scoot is lest costly, you give up speed.
I think the best, easiest, safest way to go faster is to get a 150/250/300 cc scoot.
But, if you're trying to skirt the insurance requirements and MC endorsement, you kinda stuck with the limited speed
Just my opinion
