I guess it would also have to do with the size and shape of the hole. not all punctures are the same. my puncture was a little big and had a little gash, which threw the plug out and caused it to deflate very quickly. luckily it was on the rear, and I've had a flat front tire and I couldn't hold it up long enough to slow down. these tires are cheap and easy to change. I bet I could change a tire almost as quick as someone could do all the plug and rubber cement thing. couple of screw drivers and some soapy water and some air.

get a new tire. slime is junk, and running a plug should only be a temporary fix. I tried using one of those new permanent plugs and they don't hold worth a crap

yeah dude, if you want to get the exact part just by knowing make, model and year, then you'll have to buy a honda or bmw or piaggio. in the cheap chinese world, there are no real standards, even within the same year and model. these things are so cheap because the factory uses whatever is cheapest and available at the time of production

yeah, scooters are way better in town and traffic, especially for short commutes. no shifting, more storage, lighter weight and just enough power, but not too much that you never use maintenance and insurance and registration are way less and you can pretty much park it anywhere

I'm surprised John just didn't have your posts deleted and removed because he doesn't like what your saying. He had a posting of mine deleted where I did the same thing john is doing here, but not even to the acrimonious degree he's doing it. There was a listing where another forum member was recommending scrappy parts and the member couldn't get the link to work. Instead of John helping out with that, or adding anything of value, he just interjected a link to his own site. I made a comedic statement about it, and he deleted it, twice, then said that this forum doesn't allow that kind of behavior. John, if you're going to enforce those kinds of rules, you should live them too. BTW, looked like Dmartin was actually giving you a compliment and showing how much better your deal was over two others he was looking at. As far as the cyber monday deal, giving such a big discount to me shows he's been way overcharging before, and will continue to do so after the sale. I prefer a vendor that just gives the best price up front all the time and doesn't play the sales game. I think walmart's original business model was based on that

oh, so it was you who deleted them or flagged them? figured it was. The point of my post was the dignity and respect of getting a PM if that was done, and not just angrily wiped out because something doesn't agree with your opinion. A different opinion than yours, or asking a question isn't negative and should have been left long enough for it to be judged negative by the forum community. I hadn't had any problems with you, and I've actually been your customer in the past, but interpreting my dry sense of humor remarks or opinion that you may not like personally gives no just cause to be a rude azz like that. You can ban me if you wish from your forum and your business because I don't deal well with tyrant censorship like that.

hello, I am a new member from only about 6 weeks. I've posted a few things and hooked up with a couple of member on some things and have generally enjoyed reading more than posting. Out of the few postings I've made, 3 of them have just been deleted. No notification, no nothing. Pretty darn rude. I've not had any profanity or anything negative, just deleted! I get that whomever is doing this is a moderator and can do anything they want on their forum, but hey, this is big brother rude, and try giving a PM when you do this and a reason why to be respectful, and also educating so that the offense isn't done again, whatever that offense might be. If I spend the time to make a post, and it's just deleted, I don't think I can waste my time on such a place. Cato

stator resistance is tested in ohmage and not just with a continuity buzzer. parts for these things are so cheap, it's more economica to change parts rather than spend labor time diagnosing things.

size doesn't determine what a compression should be. in fact, smaller engines can take higher compressions without detonation. if it was 120psi though, that's not too bad and should be ok, but it is on the low side. I prefer 150 to 180 psi, but you've got to run premium gas

maybe this issue has been resolved, but the first thing I always check is the compression

I might be interested in this as this would be a BN extra long case?
fyi, shouldn't this be in the classified ads or 'tell and sell', and not in the dealer and parts vendor section? perhaps you are a dealer of sorts

Ordered a windshield for the winter as it's going to be a big one from scrappy. I had read the post from another forum member saying he couldn't get it to work. I got the kit in the mail yesterday. Super good price and immediate shipping. How do they do it? Anyways, the bag of parts seemed daunting at first, but after laying it out and taking a minute to use my head, it was pretty darn easy. I'm not sure what this other "dummy" was talking about, but it works pretty darn good for the money. I guess he was expecting the part to jump out of the box and install itself and be just like the 100 dollar kits you see around. duh! If you want a decent windshield for decent money, this is the kit, but don't expect it to be gold plated
