Hi and Hello!
I'm going a little nuts - saw a scooter last night, met the seller and am going to pay and pick it up on Friday. I've bookmarked So Many Things that I won't let myself buy until the deal is done.
I've got a small motorcycle and have ridden (with the occasional gap-year) all my life (i'm pretty damn old) and my commute of 8 miles for work was just making me crazy; I don't get the moto out of 2nd gear on surface streets, yippie 3rd on the highway (lanesplitting, yoy.) I hate driving the truck to work, it's a gas hog, and seems so pointless to throw that giant weight around when it's not needed.
My beloved intended is a Genuine Buddy 125 in that utterly ridiculous Potent Pink.
It's so wrong, it's right. I haven't welcomed anything that color into my life since I was 8 years old. I can NOT explain the instant attachment.
I'm going crazy waiting and it's only Tuesday.
Help me, scooter boards, perusing your content is my only hope!

Hiya and welcome to our little meeting spot. (lots of friendly folks here) I'm sure you'll find the Buddy will turn your commute from a chore to a joy, and just think how you can accessorize!  And since you have a newfound love of pink, just wait until you meet Kat. |

Heeeee... my motorcycle is naked/naked/stock/naked and I've never had the urge to put anything on it. Nada/zilch/nuttin. This scooter- idek what's going on, but I'm pouring through little adds and matching detail items and bookmarking like a fiend. Awesome!

Ah, I think in Berkeley, pink scoots are fine... Around here, you even see an occasional pink AR-15 "Hello Kitty" rifle in a saddle-scabbard on a gal's pink Harley... Yup! You are bound to like that Buddy. My dealer sells Kymco, SYM, Stella and Buddy and I checked them over. Very compact, great for "wild-mousing" the traffic... EXCELLENT quality, quick, nimble and SO "Italian" looking, even though they don't come from Italy.
I don't see too many around here because new, they are a bit "pricey" but they give you a great old-school scooter with ultra-modern technology and good speed and handling for your money.

AMAZING!Rode from Oakland to Richmond, pretty much along the route of my work commute, and it was everything I thought it would be. Compared to my moto: soft, a gentle bounce to the suspension  % of the time but I do need to be more aware of pot-holes and bad asphalt ridges. The automatic is *really* easy to get used to. It stops REALLY well. It is super light and ground guiding is a breeze. This was just such a practical decision - why didn't I do this sooner? This was just such a crazy fun decision - why didn't I do this sooner?
