A duded-up city rider walks into a seedy tavern in Sturgis , SD. He sits at the bar and notices a grizzled old biker with his arms folded, staring blankly at a full bowl of chili.
After fifteen minutes of just sitting there staring at it, the newby rider bravely asks the old biker, 'If you ain't gonna eat that, mind if I do?' The old veteran of a thousand rides slowly turns his head toward the young pup and says, 'Nah, you go ahead.'
Eagerly, the guy wearing the shiny new leather fashions reaches over and slides the bowl into his place and starts spooning it in with delight. He gets nearly down to the bottom of the bowl and notices a dead mouse in the chilli. The sight was very shocking and he immediately barfed up the chili back into the bowl.
The old biker quietly says, 'Yep, that's as far as I got, too.'

It can be done, there are a few posts here and one other forums where it has been done. As long as the welds are correct and proper I don't see where you will have any issues.

Overheating because of a BBK is something that I have not heard about, unless the plastic covers are not put back on around the jug. Some folks have taken them off because they can be a pain to put back on. The covers serve to route air from the fan around the jug to aid in cooling. With any air cooled motor you don't want it to sit and Idle to long.

ok im stupid again
i was told i have a long case on a short frame
im not gonna do this but when u measure that 57 0r 54 where are u measuring?
not trying to steal ur thread trying to learn The "B" motor is in a class all by itself. Besides the difference in stud spacing, the head is different and the valve cover bolts are in the center of the valve cover instead of around the outside. Also "B" motor scooters have a 16 inch rear wheel. If I remember correctly it has a long CVT belt also. Not many places carry parts for the "B" motor. After searching and checking with other shops, John at Valley was able to help me. They sell some "B" motor scooters, hence they have parts. Jim/Owner Rapid Repair

VW Trike?
by: RapidJim - Mar 5, 2013 22:11:39 GMT -5
Post by RapidJim on Mar 5, 2013 22:11:39 GMT -5
I have worked on several VW trikes and have built 2. They are not for the beginning rider. They have a lot of torque and it does not take much to lift the front end off the ground. All that I have seen have wheeley bars.
Also I don't think ( insert that yes I was thinking) that a scooter front end will be heavy enough.

One thing is very important here, nobody and I mean nobody is born with knowledge, it is something that is learned and experienced. We all had to learn at sometime.
I try very hard to be tactful when I know that advice that was given was just not right or cause a possible problem. I don't know it all and everyday if I don't learn something I feel the day was wasted.
Today I learned taking mirrors off makes a scooter faster!!!!!!

Maybe either you misread or misunderstood or I didn't make my comments 100% clear. I used the words "Some Folks" and that "Once again, a few have made it bad for those that do what they are supposed to do." No where did I say "Everyone" or 100% of the people that . . . . . Also, this was written about "Ice Bear's ( the US distributor of Ice Bear ) TRIKE warranty, not a warranty that is offer by a "Dealer". Killermotorsports is a Dealer, not a Distributor. Besides the above, the machine you bought is a Roketa Scooter not an Ice Bear Trike. I did a search on your model and came up with: www.killermotorsports.com/250cc_Cruiser_Gas_Scooter_w_Trunk_Alarm_p/r-mc-54-250.htmThis is the Model Ice Bear Sells covered under the IB Warranty www.icebearatv.com/product/pmz250-c-fAlso take a look at Killermotorsports warranty on the above link. They offer a 3 month parts warranty not a 6 month parts/ 1 year motor and frame warranty as the distributor does. You want 6 mos or more you have to pay extra for it at Killer. I will also say that if you had an Ice Bear machine and had bad parts from the Factory, they would have stood behind them. I have never had an issue getting defective parts under an Ice Bear Warranty. The only thing I strongly disagree with is that the customer has to pay shipping costs, that I have no control over and feel it isn't right, but I don't know the distributorship. That seems to be standard with most Chinese Distributors. "What doe's a PDI have to do with Bad factory adjustment on valves, bad internal starter clutch I ask you, poor QC on factory adjustments ? I know it's Chinese but theres no excuse for what they put me through. " If you had bought the machine from a B&M Dealer instead of in the crate, the items you talk about would have been fixed before the machine went on the lot for sale. If you think for one minute that Yamaha, Honda, Harley, ect Dealers don't inspect and PDI their machines before the sale and find problems, you are sadly mistaken. Lets not mix apples and oranges.
