I'm shopping for a windshield now as well. I've been to ScrappyDogScooter's store, and the universal windshield they carry seemed at first glance a bit less sturdy than what I would want, but can't beat the price at $35! Seems as if you're happy with Scrappy's redroush00, any downside to consider before purchasing it? I'm thinking of something a bit more substantial, but will end up paying twice as much if I go that route. These windscreens might seem flimsy ,but they pretty rugged. Mine is about 2 or 3 mm thick a nd is bolted to the front frame. Others are connected to the handlebars by two rods both types seem pretty good.

I am considering adding a windscreen to my Tomos Twister 50, but have the following questions. 1. Am I likely to lose speed (top end) or is it more streamlined than my body (frontal area of chest etc).? 2. Which is the preferred material? Acrylic or Polycarbonate? 3. Any recommendations on brand names, models and sources? 4. Any and all comments are welcomed. Thinks A windscreen is a great addition on your bike.I does not interfere with your steering or speed but it seems to turn the wind stream up and over your head. You might call the manufacturer of your bike for information regarding if they stock that item or take the width measurement of your handlebars and go on ebay and see what they have .The material is plastic like so it can be cut .I am or go on Google click in scooter windshields. Or I am sure there will be someone on the forum that has some info on wind screens

We all know that I put in a new picture scroll at the top of the page and I built this with one thing in mind and it was a place for members to post a picture of their favorite scooter. In time my hopes is to be able to make this just pick up pictures from a gallery where members just place them but until then if members will send me a picture/image of their scooter I'll put them in myself. I also hope to soon be able to add text above member's photos saying who they are, working on it right now. But in the mean time I'm sure all are tired of seeing just my scooters so here is what I need from you guys to put a photo of your scooter in the scroll. Send me you photo on this thread, I am going to sticky it at the top. The photo needs to be 180 pixels wide X 135 pixels high. If you send a very large photo and don't edit it to this size and when I have the time I will do it but do know when you edit or down size or up size a image too much it becomes distorted and blurry in most cases. So send them to me and be part of the above gallery and when I work out the text I'll put your John Henry on them too! BTW at this time one photo only please and unless you have a team as in hubby and wife then send hers and him! I'll be looking for those scoots! JR JR I seem to put quotes and such in the wrong places. When you have the time can you straighten me out please .I don't see deletes and send like the old forum. Add attachment and create post get me in the wrong places . As I said JR when you have time! Thanks

not sure when I clean it sunday I will check it out, I never noticed it so I am guessing plugged, but I haven't specifically looked so I have to check it out - It sounds better on the video I think when I am driving it that whirring gets louder with higher rpms. I tried to remove the plug ,no luck Better to get a new carb for around $ 30.00.on e bay, After getting the plug out I found there was no slot in the screw .

I think they are just another gimic ,and they are expensive . Read what is in them. I think that the only one that will gain from their sale is the manufacturer .

I was sadden to hear that one of my favorite authors, Tom Clancy, passed away late yesterday. I am a big fan of his and I have read every book he wrote. I am curious to know if any of my fellow scooterist are also fans of his books and if so, what is their favorite? I would have to say that mine is Red October. --Jim Yes I heard he had passed last night. I also am a fan of his. I am a avid reader and have read most of his books .He was a great writer and it seems he always left you in suspense.

You must use your USERNAME not DISPLAY name to register or sign in. If you changed to a different display name here that name will not work. Lastly you must use the email you have on file here that you registered with, even if you don't use it any more. If you no longer have that email then you may have to register again if it doesn't recognize the username. Folks I've tried to get all to do this on the test forum for months so these problems could be corrected should you have any. JR- You have done a good job with this new program.I am sure it will work out OK .Relax and think positive !

Stock on mine is 33. I tried a 38 when I added my 50mm BBK, but it was too rich. I'm going to get a 35 and see if that works better, the stock 33 doesn't maintain consistent idle speed (very slow up and down at times). Hi Jerry - I was reading up on your post regarding your jets, I have a 50cc Q6 trike and I experience the same idle inconsistency as you describe . I have a 19 carburetor on my scoot and have adjusted the air/gas screw a number of times but still get uneven idle. If you try different jets, I would appreciate it if you would let me know the results . I don't know what size mine is ,but I expect it is the same as yours as it is also stock. Thanks
