Ok, let's see if I can do this....here's some pics of the battery box.... I bought new batteries for the disc alarm, as well as a new battery for the scoot...$70.00!!!! The new battery is downstairs charging. At first, I was thinking of making some way to key the battery compartment. Or maybe make a floor plate to go over the complete flat area. Thanks for all the concern and input folks....I really really appreciate it. JD Well, off the top of my head, you could get something like these Torx Security Screws Or you could save money and buy non-security screws with an uncommon head such as a hex key. Not the greatest security, but that's just off the top of my head, i'm sure we can think of something better in time.

Interesting, as you can see, mine's similar, but it uses the hex key for both opening and closing. Whoa! I just realized my ssr x6 has that same lock cover thing! Awesome haha I had no idea why my key had that thing on the back till now And this boys and girls explains why a good dealer is important, mine explained exactly what it was and how it works. I use it to secure my scooter of course, when i park for anything other than a couple minutes, i use this, turn off the kill switch, put on a disc brake lock, chain the bike down using the rear wheel, and put a cover over it.

Why would you steal a battery? I mean seriously, the one for Vik's 87 SE50P cost about $25 at work (WalMart), why would you steal that. Hmmm, got a pic of the battery location, etc? I might be able to think up a way to make the batter stay put next time.

Hmmm, anyone know what connectors are used for the lighting, and where to get parts (connectors, pins, crimping tool)? I mean where it plugs into the main harness? I'm thinking of adding some extra lighting and would like to add it to the light circuit without hacking up the harness. I'm thinking get the parts to build my own short harness to add in that gives me leads to connect to rather than modifying the existing wiring. Hey Javarod, You can get all the terminals, pins, plugs and the crimper from cycleterminal.com. I've placed a few orders with this company and it's a good company. As far as what plugs you have, I can't say for sure because mine is a 150cc not the 50cc. Just pull the plastic off and have a look. The front faring comes off really easy. What kind of additional lighting are you planning on running? I'd expect the lighting circuit on the 50 to use the same parts as the 150, no reason not too. In fact i wouldn't be surprised if the whole harness is the same, just like car manufacturers using one harness, even if they're not using all the connectors on it because they're meant for option parts. Lets see, looking at your 150 diagram, i'm thinking i want to plug into the pilot light connector, and the rear lighting connector. If you can tell me which connectors i need to order from them to do that (i'm assuming you can easily pull and check those if your scoot isn't already apart), i'd appreciate it. The idea here is that i'm going to unplug the pilot light from the wiring harness, and add a small harness between them that'll give me pigtails for accessory lights, that way i don't have to hack up the factory harness. The front turn signals look like they're using common 'bullet' connectors oddly enough. Hmmm, thinking about it, still need to pull mine apart, i want to LED convert it as well as making a chart with all the bulb numbers since the only chart at Bintelli shows the manufacturer numbers, not the common numbers like 1157 and so on.

The Kymco Agility models are produced in China. All major automobile manufacture vehicles in China. Personally if I buy a Bintelli or Wolf for a reasonable price I don't care if it lasts 20000 miles. I guess a Chevy built in China would blow up within a year or two. Buying a Bintelli with local dealer service and have no worries. All this lack of quality debate and prejudice reminds me of the bad rep Japanese cars had in the 60's. I especially like the bashing by people who never bought a Znen scooter. Hope they don't own a Apple phone. The important thing is support, as much as quality. I remember back around 08, and you had low quality scooters coming from low quality makers flooding the market, hence the reputation. The manufacturers obviously won't back up their product for the retail customer, that's not their job, and that's assuming you could figure out who made your bike, but considering that a lot of the importers were either shysters or running on a shoestring, you didn't get much support from them either. A dealer at the south end of the county offers scooters starting around $600 to $700, but what do you think that buys you? With my Havoc, even with the intermittent problem i'm having (which seems to be gone, knock on wood), i haven't been too worried as the dealer has been rock solid about supporting the scooter, and the road service and warranty give me plenty of confidence that the problem when found will be fixed right.

This key lock has a built in cover feature too. The little tab that sticks out on the right can be flipped up and a cover blocks off the key hole. The hex with a notch in it, at the 6 o'clock, position releases the block. The hex key is molded into the key handle. So the key is actually two keys in one. Interesting, as you can see, mine's similar, but it uses the hex key for both opening and closing.

I'm finally able to ride more than one day at a time out here in STL. I swear, sometimes i think the weather ponies have mistaken STL as the code for Seattle.

this is an elite e maybe 87, not really sure, ive found no restrictions on it so far. it runs 32 with the airbox off. Where do I download a manual for it? Thx for the reply by the way. Here you go, info about the Honda SE 50 including a link to the manual. And here's info about the restrictions Hmmm, after doing more research, i'm going to have to admit that you might be right about the year. Apparently they did make a 2 stroke Elite for longer, initially with the same AF505E motor in mine, then later the Dio's AF 16E motor after 1993. So, yours might be an SA50 but there's a manual for that there too.

Hello, Im having a problem with a two stroke honda. It runs fine till i put the airbox on. Then it runs half throttle with no pulling power. Ive tried running it with no muffler, same thing. Cleaned the carb, same thing, ran it with the gas tank cap off , same thing. Take off the airbox an it scoots good. Airbox off 32mph. Airbox on 22mph. Any ideals? thx Are you sure about the year? Having researched the 87 SE50P i have, i came to find that the Elite is a 4 stroke... Except for the SE Elite which sold only in 87 in America (let me tell you, finding replacement body panels is impossible). Assuming its one of those, now things get fun. In America there's three versions, the regular SE, the SE P (moped, 30MPH restricted), the SE 50 Iowa (25MPH moped restriction). See where we're going? IIRC the Iowa has a restricted air box, it and the P have a restrictor on the exhaust, and they both have restrictors in the trans as well, along with a smaller carb jet. Download the service manual if you haven't, it'll help.

Back around 08 i tore the belly pan on my Kymco on a speed bump. Lets not talk about the fun replacing that. Gee, my Kymco shop manual shows how all the plastics come off like magic in just minutes, with nothing but a Philips screwdriver... Oh, RIGHT... LOL! Maybe for someone else, but not the old chopper guy... Duh... Slow, nasty, time-consuming job for this old geezer! Not to mention trying not to break all the little plastic snap-tabs in the process!
True, problem is that on mine the belly pan was apparently the first panel they attach to the frame. Oh, and apparently the side stand is US only, requiring me to cut a hole for it.

"3 stories tall" speed bumps, whoever put those speed bumps thinks everyone is driving a Unimog, I have to stand on my feet when passing over the speed bumps to avoid hitting the exhaust Back around 08 i tore the belly pan on my Kymco on a speed bump. Lets not talk about the fun replacing that.

That unlocks the under seat storage. Well there is something different. Mine unlocks from the ignition switch. I can unlock the seat in the "run" position by turning farther to the right or unlock it in the "off" position by turning the key to the left. It does not really say that on the switch though. To lock the steering I have to push the key down and then left. Interesting, and might look a bit better, i think Znen did a crap job on the trim around the lock there. Speaking of the key, mine's unique feature is that there's a cover for it, i'll try to add a pic later, but basically it is exactly what it sounds like, a built in cover for the key slot. I use that, two locks and the kill switch to keep the bike where i leave it.

I have the 150cc Jonway version of your scooter. I love it! I need a rear rack like yours though so I can add a trunk.
Whether or not you can add a rack i think comes down to whether or not you have the mounting points. This is a close up of the left side mounting points, right is the same. Does yours also have the dual shocks in the rear? While we're on close ups, i done put some stickers on mine over the last few months: Unfortunately that last one isn't sticking well.
