If your bowl is empty, it might take some starting to get the suction to fill it up.

Here is my modified frame from my 50cc shortcase to 150cc shortcase swap. Its made with an old bed frame i had laying around. I dont know what kind of steel it is, but it was a real pain in the butt to cut and drill.
The 50cc swing arm was used because im kind of a "do with what you have" kind of guy. (or if you prefer im a deluxe redneck).
I took almost 2 full day to slap this on to make sure everything was properly aligned.
If anyone is thinking of doing th same, just make sure you got the right jet in your carb BEFORE mounting the whole gizmo. Getting the carb out is a real pain in the
The scooter then took my butt on 3 nice long trip (300 km the same day, 1000km in 3 days, and 600 km in 1 day) So its might looka bit like a redneck job, but its way more solid then anything else on the bike.
Oups!!! Wrong picture

If fuel is not going to your carb, i think it could be 2 things:
-When replacing your hoses you forgot/misplaced/mixed up some of them. -You got a faulty petcock valve/pump depending wheter you have a below or above the carb fuel tank.

1P52QMI engines are 125cc and not 150cc. Would not want to see you waiste time or money ordering the wrong parts.

I am running a tire experiment on my Reflex. I thought this might be of interest to others. When I bought the Reflex they put a Bridgestone tire on the back (the front was still useable). It lasted 'til I got back from my trip in 2013 to Arkie land. That was about 7000 total miles on the rear tire. At that point I bought a pair of Shinko tires and changed both. (Unlike the clones the Reflex runs 120/70/13 in front and 130/ 70/12 in the rear). The rear Shinko was gone in 4000 (front is still good for quite a while yet). While we were near Riverside CA I ran over to Chaparral Motor Sports and picked up a Michelin Booper, that lasted 4000. Next I bought another Shinko (different series) and at 1250 miles is was going fast, I could have probably safely run it another 500 miles or so. Somewhere I saw a post by someone who reported that he and some friends has run a 145R12 auto tire on the rear with good results. That is the size used on the early Geo Metros (really great cars). They are hard to find but I located one on line and ordered it. Since we were in PA visiting our son and will be here longer than we are in many places I went ahead and installed that tire so if it was unsatisfactory I could get something else and change again. I have put more than 300 miles on it and so far really like it. I was unsure how it would handle on hard corners but so far I can see no difference on that. It is about 10% more circumference so it makes that much difference and slows the engine down considerable which is great for cruising. I have been riding through the hills of PA and eastern OH pushing it hard on corners to be sure the all weather tread pattern is going to hold when leaning hard. Dry road, wet road, and during hard rain plus 50 miles of 70 MPH interstate. I like it plus it seems to have raised my gas mileage noticeably. As the miles mount up I will post updates here on this thread. I don't know of any other brand or model that this could be done on. Skyrider PS: The tires on my Jonway YY250T was about the same. 2000 on original and 4000 on subsequent rear tires. Pictures? Please please pretty please?

Just going to corn-free will help your mileage improve. >'Kat Very true. The corn juice will also eat up hoses and gaskets. That's why i avoid it at all cost. Where i live most premium fuels are ethanol free and that's the only thing i put in my scooter. I also go for them gaz station with seperate pumps for regular and premium.

Hi everyone, i'm new here but not to scooters. I bought mine 3 years ago, a nice little 50cc retro style scooter made by Benzhou and i love to take it apart as much as i love riding it.
I live in Laval, just north of Montréal QC (yup, the Great White North), im a butcher by day and grease monkey by night. I have a 8 years old daughter, the best wife i could ever have and freaking cat.
The first time i had my butt on my scooter i got addicted. Its not my hobby , passion and soon it will also be a small part time job (more on that later).
What i mostly like to do is to go for long rides. First year i got it, i made a 2 day 300 km round trip. At the time it still was only a 50cc and it took me forever to get to my destination but i loved every minute of it. Last year the scooter was upgraded with a 150cc shortcase engine and i went for a 3 days 1000km ride to nowhere. The ride was a blast; small tent, sleeping bag, clean undies and some tools.
I'm now in the process of installing a 150cc longcase engine, and next summer i'm going for a 1200-1500 km ride to Perce QC.
You'll see more of the build as i work on the scooter and post stuff in the build section.
Glad to be here and thx for having me along.

Your flasher problem is probably just some connector that got loose or the flasher relay that went dead. You'll find it under those front plastics.
Happy trails.

Hi guys, here is my ride. Its a 50cc chinese scooter made by Benzhou. They are sold up here as a Nostalgia.
It went from 50cc to 100 cc (80 something cc) but like all 100cc BBK it blew the crank. So a 150cc shortcase was installed but i wanted some nice fat tires on it, mostly in the back.
I am now in the process on installing a 150cc loncase engine i took from a damaged Pertutti RAZZ i got real cheap. I'll also be stretching it from the middle, adding a reinforcement bar with a gaz tank on it. (going for a rat rod bike ricer look)
Will be posting more about that when i find the build section.
As it sit now in my garage:

DAMN.the new flasher relay isn't working. Rats. verified that speedometer cable spins so isnt broken. reconnected and see how it doesn't react when i go scootering to a place near the water to cool off checked all cables to/from the turn signals and all are okay. checked the front bulbs and seem okay. sigh well, i got the idle done!! THANKS again. now hav two screws extra and all screws are in except for fron lower cowl. wont align with the hole grrrrr Hi, new guy here. Try loosen up your other screws holding youy plastic, it will give some wiggling room to get those 2 extra screw in.
