Znen can be spotty with their quality, especially when they start reaching the capacity limit of their factory and then quality can get spotty as they try to keep up. They don't seem to know when to say no we don't have the capacity to make that many bikes in a day and maintain quality.

On YouTube just search on Pathe' and you will get some very interesting blasts from the past.
After WWII there was a lot of this type of interesting personal innovation in Britain on the minimalist front as they recovered from the War.

Sounds like you had the wrong people working on it. A good scooter mechanic worthy of his pay would have sourced the correct parts after accurately diagnosing what the real issues were. No real voodoo on the Linhai/Yamaha Majesty 260. I wouldn't bring the new bike to whomever it was that was working on the old one for you.
Glad you finally got a bike that fits you.

On the newer model the top of the camper itself is similar to a Crawdad boat.
There is a pretty lengthy thread here that has most of those Pathe videos posted.
Those old Lambretta were pretty sturdy and when they made them into trucks the same transmission from the scooter held up admirably.

The latching mechanism would have to be pretty secure to prevent it from collapsing in an - shall we call it and event? The garrote around the throat gives me the willies. Why am I having visions of Barron Munchausen on the Moon?

Gekgo and Mojo are advertising the CPI GTR 200 (really 152cc) for a silly $3,299 and the CPI distributor in Canada still appears to be doing business so they may be able to point you to parts. Here is the main CPI website: www.cpi-motor.com.tw/eng/company.htmE-mail:pwei@cpi-motor.com.tw

No suggestions but you are the third CPI GTR owner I have heard of who has lost the motor. The other two who I know personally had the end of the crank shear off while they were riding. Getting a 250 scooter engine to accept a 17 inch tire will probably also be a problem not to mention the the additional weight for the engine mount to handle. Martin Racing was the source of CPI parts in the USA and they went Chapter 7 and were liquidated in 2014. www.dealernews.com/dealernews/article/martin-racing-performance-chapter-7-liquidation-auction-set-sept-9The only engine parts I have recently seen are for the 50cc 2 stroke CPI GTR 50. Its probably time to retire the bike as its an orphan here in the US.

Its so gear lube leaking past the shaft seal drains out and does not end up inside the brake drum reducing rear brake effectiveness and potentially start a fire. Time to replace the shaft seal and potentially replace the bearings on the output shaft.
In the video thats some pretty odd colored gear lube and almost looks like Gator Aid or Green Slime dripping down from above. If that was a water cooled bike I'd almost think it was antifreeze.

Usually a performance clutch will let the engine wind up before engaging to give you more of a neck snap when engaging but will not enhance hill climbing very much unless you put in a stronger contra spring. Putting in sliders and keeping the stock clutch works better for me and is much cheaper too. I find a jerky clutch irritating after a while in city traffic. At almost 30,000 miles the clutch on my Piaggio powered Sport City is nowhere near requiring replacement.
Get a good selection of carb jets ready for when you replace the muffler so you do not end up running lean from the change in back pressure and burn a hole in your piston top.

Right here. Its a 244 and very similar to many of the Chinese bikes that are cloned from it.
