Hey guys. Does anyone know the purpose of this hole between the transmission gears and rear brake? Mine started leaking gear oil recently from it but not as bad as this guys. I put a temp blue permatex sealant on it for now and cleaned up the oil coming out. I notice 50cc have the same hole to and can see my neighbors moped has a small leak from it too. Thank you for any info!

Its so gear lube leaking past the shaft seal drains out and does not end up inside the brake drum reducing rear brake effectiveness and potentially start a fire. Time to replace the shaft seal and potentially replace the bearings on the output shaft.
In the video thats some pretty odd colored gear lube and almost looks like Gator Aid or Green Slime dripping down from above. If that was a water cooled bike I'd almost think it was antifreeze.

Thought that was just me.... Looked like more than what is actually inside the gear housing. Is's all over the tires. OMG. LOL Had to watch it a couple more times. Look for cracks and holes in the casing if it is not missing bolts, drain plugs, loose/missing hoses and seals are intact. Thanks for that video. Interesting....

That looks like water IN the gear lube.
